NBA 2012/13 Season Discussion Thread

Just played the NBA 2K13 demo for PS3, and that **** is hot. Gameplay is fluid and really fun. I always hated how to dribble in 2K12. Using the right stick to dribble, and then pulling the L2 button to shoot is awesome.

Too bad the 2 teams in the demo was the Thunder and the Heat, 2 of my least favorite teams. So damn excited for the release on October 2nd. Picking my Lakers :D. The Big Four.

^^I love the Brooklyn Nets starting 5, but their problem is they have no quality players coming off the bench

True. They've got Brooks, Reggie Evans, and... that's it.

Think the Knicks have the edge over them still, though. Deron hasn't returned to his Utah level yet.

LOS LAKERS Preseason...

They may have lost tonight against Portland (even though it won't matter), but...DAAAAANG!

For all the talk about Dwight Howard, I really think it's Nash that will be the driving force for a potential Laker championship this year. Freaks, Let us rejoice the power of the point in the Battle of Los Angeles!

I'm gonna be very anti-Lakers this year. I don't care if I'm the only one on this board but I had to be honest. Lol...Sad that we have to declare Dwight Howard as the best Center when he ran his Coach out of town and never seemed to improve his game. His poor free-throw shooting, the decline of his blocks, and the lack of a jump shot. You got someone like Demarcus Cousins, who is immature but is developing a jump shot, can definitely shoot free-throws and can play in the low-post. I really hope he overtakes the top Center spot although Andrew Bynum is going there too. I miss Yao Ming. He should still be one of the top Centers today if he didn't have to retire prematurely. :(

The Kings with two straight preseason wins over those Lakers. It was the night Dwight Howard made his debut as well. I didn't see the game but saw some impressive stuff from the Kings. Thomas Robinson made a nice put-back dunk and Demarcus Cousins was being Demarcus Cousins. I hope this team continues to play well when the season starts. Looking at the starting lineup for this game, it was Isaiah Thomas as the PG, Tyreke as SG, James Johnson as the SF, Robinson at PF and Cousins at Center. I think I can dig that lineup.

James Harden sure was a beast in his debut as a Rocket. If this is how he's going to perform in a starring role, he's gonna be hella sick this season. Definitely has what it takes to be a 20+ pts per game scorer. Jeremy Lin is the perfect guy to complement him compared to the ball hogger Russell Westbrook.

Lol at the Lakers losing again, this time, to the Trail Blazers. The Lakers do usually lose in Portland so this wasn't a big surprise. At least Dwight Howard showed up with a big game. I don't think this team knows how to utilize Steve Nash though. Wonder when will the Lakers win a game again. They haven't won one since they lost in the Playoffs.

Lastly, the Kings lost to the Derrick Rose-less Bulls but it was a close game. I guess they figured out a lineup that will work and I don't mind Marcus Thornton coming off the bench.
