NBA 2012/13 Season Discussion Thread

Kobe even said it in a recent interview.........he seemed pretty adamant about it

Oh he actually said it? Wow, I'm surprised. I've always seen him being a glory hog until he literally collapses because his body can't take it. lol

Hmm, well then finally we'll see teams more evenly matched. But now we have the overpowered Miami.

What? He was flip floping back and forth about retiring when he turns 35. I will believe when I see it when in 2 years he says, "I'm retiring."

It's about to go down soon. Sources says Dwight wants to come play for the Lakers AND willing to sign an extension. I'm salivating at the idea of Nash, Kobe, Pau, and Dwight on the same floor on the same team.

Great day to be a Lakers fan.

Clippers signs Grant Hill (formerly from Phoenix Suns) and Celtics gets Jason Terry (from Mavericks). On the other hand, Nuggets waived "Birdman" Andersen while Rodman finally found his long lost father. Rumor or not, Antawn Jamison will sign with Lakers. Plus, what did Mavericks get? O.J. Mayo.

It's not a rumor. Jamison is going to sign with the Lakers. He'll sign the contract when he comes back from vacation.

Jordan Hill resigns with the Lakers for 2 years, about 8 million. Love this move by the Lakers. Beast on the glass.

And you would think Dwight Howard is bipolar with all of this news about him. It's getting annoying, honestly. I could care less now who suits up as center this upcoming season. Both are good choices.

With all of Howard's posturing, the Lakers should just make Howard beg to want to come to L.A. Howard IMO isn't showing any reason why the Lakers should trade for him. He seems to whine about being the second option behind Kobe, and wanted to go to the worthless Nets instead. The Lakers can just as easily win a championship with Andrew Bynum instead of Howard, and Howard isn't that much of an upgrade anyways. Howard has more to lose for not wanting to come to L.A. to sign a long-term deal than the Lakers have to lose if they don't get Howard.
