They are developing into consistent players. No question about it.

There is a reason why the Knicks are 28-26 and they are a good reason why. Discounting Amare.

^Oh you were serious. Personally I think they're streaky. They're always on and off, therefore I can't trust/rely on them. Plus I know how high they were as far as our options...but that's not saying much.

They may be developing into consistent players, but they are not star players like Melo is. And in the NBA, you need stars to win championships, because each team has only 5 starters so the talents are more crucial compared with football and baseball, which both field much larger roster. And Knicks (even with Amare) are not a contender in the East; do you really think they can ever get pass Celtics, Heat, Magic, Bulls, and even Hawks? Even if this Amare/Melo experiment doesn't work in the end, you cannot fault Knicks for giving it a shot.
