The Carmelo Anthony trade saga is nearly over.

Indications are that a trade is imminent with the New York Knicks, with only minor details to be worked out before an agreement is reached, a league source said.

Anthony was not at the Nuggets' practice as they resumed workouts following the All-Star break.

The deal has to pass by the league office tomorrow before it's official. FYI, Carmelo will be on the Conan Show tonight on TBS. He may get surprised with the news on air. Stay Tuned.

As a longtime Knick fan, I just a return to the good old days. We need to get respect back. Amare's started the process but we need more than him. What Melo brings is star power, and let's face it in today's NBA that's what the refs favor.

I wouldn't give up Landry though - guy's gonna be a beast. Not a superstar but a pretty good complementary piece.

Chandler's a restricted free agent so re-signing him will screw the cap space anyway so I don't mind trading him now. Felton is hard to trade a way but at least we're getting Billups.

We're not giving up Mozzy..........the final offer that the Knicks made to the Nuggets is Felton, Chandler, Gallo, Anthony Randolph, & Eddy Curry's retarded expiring ass for Melo, Billups, Anthony Carter, and Sheldon Williams.

Since the Nets have officially declared themselves out of the "Melo sweepstakes" once again, the Nuggets have most likely caved and took the Knicks' final offer as it stands.
