My Ultra Series Set Visits!

What I said doesn't really represent my opinion. Actually I think it was to back up and strengthen your reasons. You're talking about the newbies of the new-generation who started getting in the business…
:P :P

Then, who's the guy who's worn the Taro Suit ??

Also, some photos have the B.E. initials, what do they represent ? I totally freaked out when I saw the photos for the first time…

Hey Ben. Barrie here. August wrote "That's the same guy: Barrie Evans (aka Devvilboy666). As I said, I introduced him to Tsuburaya Productions, and then I took him back there in 2002. They let him put on the Taro suit (from THE ULTRAMAN STORY), because he was the same height and build as the actor who played him in the film. Barrie has since become a massive costume collector, and has many original props and costumes from Sentai and Kamen Rider series (I've posted some of his pics here before)"
To clarify a few things. August did not "introduce me" with the Tsubaraya tour nor the Toei. Tsuburaya was set up through our mutual friend Taki and Toei was set up through my friend Harrican Ryu who personally took me there himself. After my first visits to the studios i was invited to visit the studios anytime I wished. I went to Toei over the course of a few months about 20 times to each studio. I watched the first episode airing of Hikari sentai Maskman with most of the stunt guys and became friends with Hiroshi Watari star of Uchu Keiji Sharivan and a few other great shows. I went back to japan a few times after that and again with August in 2002. I have gone back to japan every year since 2002.I had the chance to visit Toho studios Monster room and even held the original Oxygen destroyer used in the end sequence of the original Godzilla. I had the opportunity to work with Daisuke Ban ( jiro from Kikaida ) and Hiroshi Miyuchi ( Kazami Shiro from Kamen Rider V3 )in a live action stage show in Hawaii in 2007. I played Kaiketsu Zubat. I toured Daei studios in 2010 and Over the years collected original Suits, Helmets, props and advertising goods given to me from friends who work in the studios and some of the JAC stunt guys. first off welcome, second, I'm insanely jealous that you get to hold the head of my Hero, Godzilla, and third, your awesome.:castlerock:

Thanks. I have a few more photos from Toho and Shinchi Wakasa's shop he was gracious enough to invite me and a few friends too. We talked about him working on Android melees and being in charge of making kaijin suits for Skyrider and a few other shows.

Well, this is sad. Barrie and I haven't been friends for a couple of years, but he's got some details mixed up. It was way back in the mid-'80s, after all. First off, I did introduce him to Tsuburaya Productions (not Tsubaraya) through Taki Mamiya, who worked for the Tsuburaya Fan Club at the time. I first met Taki at the San Diego Comic-Con in 1981 or 82, as part of the crew from Kaiyodo Hobby Company, when he was writing for Uchusen magazine (he later went to work for Shogakukan Publishing). This was before I ever met Barrie. I also met Hariken Ryu (aka Hurricane Ryu) at the Toei Heroes Festival in December 1985 at the Toei Shibuya Theater, through Producer Tohru Hirayama, before Barrie ever set foot in Japan. So, when Barrie went over, he contacted Taki, and Taki introduced him to the same gang of malcontents I was hanging out with before him. We were friends, so of course I shared. I guess his memory is a bit fuzzy on which came first. But, after all, it was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
