My Portable Hard Drive just went sp3cial

So when I first got the 1tb HDD I tested it out and it was 100gbs. Fine.

I formatted it. Fine.

I've transfered a ton of HD movies and Toku onto it. Fine.

This past weekend I tried to transfer some Blu-ray avi files to it and it says CLEAN DISK SPACE and make room ...which makes no sense since I know I had a ton of space left. So I went to properties to check on the amount of space I had and now it magically says the HDD was/is only 500gb.

What in the living **** is this?.

sounds like the partition settings have been screwed up

How do I go about fixing that without loosing any of the files I have on it?.

Pray to the Canadian gods to remove the partition.



Or can you put the files back on your PC HD and reformat the external?
