My-HiME Talkback

Well...Mai Otome ends this week in an hour long season finale on Thursday (Japan Time of Course)...overall, Mika Kikuchi did a good job playing the main character, Arika. You could see some of that "Umeko" essence in the Arika character. Unfortunately, the main 3 from last season (Mai, Mikoto, and Natsuki) take a back seat for the 2 newbies...Arika and her "psychotic" rival (and I use the term loosely), Nina...sheesh.

A lot of role reversal this time around...

Sergay (The Tate Clone) is not as much as an idiot as his MH counterpart.

Midori, the HiMEranger senshi, no longer has the the comedic toku parody persona, that was given to Haruka, compared to her MH counterpart, she's even more angrier.

Shiho...

...Shiho...MAKI MAKI MAKI MAKI...MWHAHAHAHAHAHA...oy...

Aoi and Chie are no longer the comic relief in MO and were given more dramatic roles.

Miyu is more friendlier in this series, as well as Nao.

Kazu and Akane almost got that happy ending and were about to "go all the way"...and then the soldiers took him away...with no pants on...leaving a half-naked Akane behind...:sly:

Reito is now a Robot...nuff said.

Takumi and Akira...habits are hard to break, huh?

The Kitty and Bird issue with Mikoto and Alyssa scared almost everyone...thank god they revealed their human forms.

...overall...a bizarre series...furthermore the storywriting was simplied compared to the complexity of MH. I'm kinda relieved that this series is almost over, but man it was one strange ride.

PS: I hope Mikoto whips out Miroku and gives everyone hell...:buttrock:

I just saw that dvds are comin out for this series soon. Or might have already came out. Im so gonna pick it up. Anyone see the dub yet?
