Most Overrated / Annoying Sentai Ranger

Tired is acceptable because of the story, but there's no explanation as to why he seems to have forgotten food and drink for weeks.

Did he really look that thin? :sly: I need to watch those episodes now. Maybe the actor was just overworked - he was filming the end of Shinkenger and probably rehearsing for other stuff (since he went straight into a bunch of new projects when the show ended)

Natsuki acting like she's five.

To be fair if you remember in the story she was put into a status pod by her parents at a very young age hence the reason she didnt really remember anything about her life before she was reawakened and much like Lion-O before her though the status pod was able to keep her alive it didnt completely stop her body from aging (unlike the ZyuRanger pods which kept them at the same age) so though she has the body of someone in their mid to late teens her mind was still mostly that of a child hence the reason she would be easily tricked by the bad guys sometimes or would be really naive about things and act like a five year old ... at least thats the way I think about the character.

Because Goseiger and Go-onger are generally hated in fandom, and Gekiranger gave no thought to any of its heroes that weren't named Jan, Shinkenger's characters do look better compared to the recent shows surrounding it, even if the Shinkengers weren't that well written in themselves

The funny thing is, I actually liked all seven main Gekirangers. Yeah, they have their problems. But I found them to be overall likable compared to the cast of Shinkenger.

Like I mentioned over in the Unpopular Opinions thread, Jetman's Gai Yuuki is both grossly overrated and very annoying. He's supposed to be so badass...yet he gets smacked around just as easily and just as often as any of the other civilian members of the team and his victories are no more or less impressive than the others. He's supposed to be such a great second-in-command, yet is always the first to want to abandon the fight and even does so on one occasion for incredibly trivial and petty reasons. He's supposed to be cool and charming, but all his displays of performative heterosexuality are skeevy and his obsessive, stalkerish behavior towards Kaori shudder inducing.

Actually, the definition of "badass" is someone who's personality is tough and aggressive, and maybe even uncooperative, depending on the situation. It doesn't mean cool or impressive.

As for being cool and charming, well, yeah, he's SUPPOSED to be. But is obviously not until he starts changing his ways.

That is true but you'd think that even a child would understand that if everyone around them isn't shrieking excitedly and using third person, maybe they should stop doing it

I think the worst character on that score is *giggle* *hair flip* "Houka-chan!"

oh yes, Natsuki was indeed annoying. in fact, she was one of the reasons why I didn't liked Boukenger. :P the only time she was actually funny was when she drove DaiBouken out of suit and used it to spam lasers at the enemies, as well as almost stomping onto her comrades.

And if ANYONE, I mean ANYONE says AbareKiller is either.... you have failed.

Oh dear, I guess I'll just have to be a double failure in your eyes then. :P

"It's fun to murder!" types who long outlive their freshness date are as annoying as hell and the complete ass-pull of a redemption he had at the last minute because he was "cool" is just pathetic.

Hurrah, someone else that doesn't like Rio!

A lot of the AbareKiller haters make out that everyone says he is the only reason to watch the show, but I've honestly never seen that attitude. People like Abaranger because it's full of drama, and he's only one part of that

Whoops. I completely overlooked the part that said "Annoying" in the thread title. :P

In that case, those that I found annoying...

Yousuke, Kouta, and the Nanami (first half) from Hurricaneger. Not so annoying that I wanted to pull my hair out. But there were many scenes throughout the show where the three of them did get on my nerves.

Ban (DekaRed): Similar to the three Hurricanegers. Though not as bad.

Kai (MagiRed): Similar to Ban.

Akashi (BoukenRed): Sometimes, I did wish he would shut up. :P

All the Go-ongers, minus Gunpei and Saki.

Genta (Shinken Gold): Similar to the Hurricanegers. To me, he just seemed like an overblown version of Red Racer, MegaRed, and GekiChopper.

All the Goseigers, minus Alata and Moune.

Tbh, I find Sentai to do annoying characters much less compared to certain Rider characters. :P
