Mass Effect DLC: "Bring Down the Sky" - Talk UP!

I got around to beating it today. All in all, you can beat the mission in an hour. Its longer than what planet baised missions seem to go for, but its still kinda short.

Oh, and theres different ways to end that. I choose "shoot the bad guy but nuke the other people" mode, which i need to replay to get a diff ending...

I finished it.... it was kinda lame. Worth 5 bucks if you're dying to take up a space gat and cap some Batarians, but otherwise............ lame.

I hope if they do more, it's the further adventures, not just a side quest.

I just finished it and I'm going to have to strongly disagree with you, Keith. This was anything but lame. I didn't go in expecting anything more than what it delivered which was a good side-quest to kill a couple of hours with.

Batarians are nice addition to the already impressive list of Mass Effect aliens. The new challenges for the Mako were fun. The big decision at the end was true to ME's fashion. And I'm definitely going to have to replay this to check out the other ending.

I'm also going to replay it to check out the other new armors you can get. I went with the Quarian armor this time around. I must say, Tali looks smokin'!

For those that actually care about achievements. There's 50 points for completing the mission. Also the big fight did wonders for gathering experience points. With Batarian Engineers dropping 1,000 exp a piece. It was good boost for me trying to get that level 60 achievement.

So yeah, for $5 I found this to be very worthwhile. I hope they do more, maybe one that expands on the Quarians a bit?

Oh as for story. Yeah this was just a side-quest BUT I couldn't help but feel we were getting some foreshadowing to some of the events that will happen in Mass Effect 2 during the final confrontation with Balak.

For me, it was just a side quest. And I banged it out in pretty short order.

It's just, when I was looking forward to this, I thought it was going to be almost like an episode. I wanted further info into the story of the world.

This just... put me back into shootin' stuff, but not feeling like I was playing out any real meat in the story.

I did both endings, and they were good... challenging enough, but just not enough to make me pump my fist into the air.
