Live-Action "Captain Planet" movie coming to Cartoon Network!

Yay...a live action movie with a kid w/ the shittiest power ever....heart.

Never liked the cartoon, so I can't say that I'm at all excited for a movie. Pass for me.

And of course, after the movie is made, it won't be long before someone tries to cash in on this by making a new Captain Planet cartoon with a new modern spin on things or something.
This is what I really want to see. But to be completely honest, is there any chance a modern Captain Planet would fly on television today? Can you hear the sound of talking heads from cable news exploding?

I'm interested, CP did have a lot of interesting episodes, even if some of them are proper face-palmers (the Belfast one comes to mind)

For those who don't get the "Ma-ti's Dead" thing, go to thatguywiththeglasses.com and watch Suburban Knights.

Personally, a live action movie showing these guys using their ring's powers would at the least be an FX spectacle. It might not be a good movie, but I'll certainly watch it at least once.

But Ma-Ti's dead...

Guess he lost......

I had this dream awhile go where this show was modernized, That Planeteers aged to the mid's 20 for Kwame, Wheeler, Gi aud Linka with Ma-Ti in his late teens, made darker, Some romantic elements, less Aesopish, more subtle with its green message, Captain Planet doesn't make stupid puns and over time he gets called less as the Planeteers slowly learn how to deal with problems themselves over the run of the series.

But that would make the show actually good, so it'll never happen.

They can use the concept designs from the animated film that was proposed as a start as they are pretty much updates in of themselves .

Just give it the anime treatment that Thundercats is getting and it'll do good.

I don't think this will be a TV film honestly. It could be a theatrical one that's done by CN films and Don Murphy's company, kinda like how Nickelodeon does their films.

MetalSymphony, they'll rip off Power Rangers before they learn to solve it themselves. And with the advent of the internet , it will change the dynamic.

He's gonna take BP down to Zero
