Lets learn Japanese :D

Learning cuss words in a foreign language just to cuss people out & them not know it, or anything in that area is just frowned upon.

How good are you at Japanese Miaka??? You seem to know quite a bit.

yeah..i don't support that kind of stuff ^^ sooo u'll have to find someone else to do it for you :P theres quite enough foreigners in jpn who only know those words.. or pick-up lines.. i will not be adding to the population XD

wellll i know enough to translate :D *points to link in siggy* i still have a ways to go though .... it took me many many years of studying to get this far though >_< oh and i managed to finally grad last year with a BA..although coming from my school its not really worth much >_< its only my secondary degree newayz XD (or primary rite now? considering i haven't gotten my primary yet?)

I wish I would marry a Japanese-American lady. How do you say "I Love you" in Japanese.

literally it'll be aishiteru ... but its never said...you would have to go through years of saying suki desu first... and then maaaybe you can say it

i heard that before they came up with the word for it, people would say soemthing like "anata no tame nara shindemo ii" means something like..if its for you, I would give up my life

Then what is Daisuki Dayo?? I thought that = "I love you" or "I like you"

technically it is both of those too XD

it means literally that "i like you alot" .. which can be interpreted as "i love you"

buuut aishiteru is like the most committed sounding out of those three options ... to me aishiteru has the strongest emotions out of them all .. and jpn people never express their feelings that strongly..so its almost never used...

So in the KAT-TUN song

Aishiteru Aishiteru
Sore igai mitsukaranai
Aishiteru Aishiteru
Ikisaki wa doko demo ii
Kono kisa de mieru mirai ni
Owaranai uta
Ikiteru tada sore dake de
Kimi to hashiitte yukou
Kiesou na kiss de atatamete
Kyou wa koko de nemuritai

Aishiteru(Say what?) Aishiteru
Moshi kimi ga kirawaretemo
Aishiteru aishiteru
Hitogomi de furueteiru
Kaeru basho nakushita kimo wo
Mamoritai kara(Kiss me baby)

They're saying "I love you" quite often in it?

haha yeah they are.. although saying it in real life and saying it in a song or a poem is completely different XD

XD I wondered what that word ment they were saying so much in the song. Like 5 times in a row.

Yeah, I can see how it'd be diff since you said it was the most emotional/strongest form.

theres so many different ways to say i love you in jpn its ridiculous..mainly cuz they don't want to come out and say it outright

oh another one is "koishiteru" which is almost neeever used..the nuance is different.. not sure how to explain that one XD

heehee my sensei taught us an old marriage proposal for samurai... its something along the lines of "will you make miso soup for me every morning?" basically you're asking the girl to live in your house and prepare your meals for you everyday... talk about roundabout ways of saying i love you!
