Embracer Lets Go: Swedish Megacorp Splits Into Three

A couple years ago an investment firm emerged from Sweden with the sinister name of Embracer Group. The company proved their name by going on an insane purchasing spree across the globe, buying out dozens of other companies in an incredibly short time. Embracer’s entire plan hinged on the belief that rich Saudi investors would pick up the tab. They did not. It’s a blessing in disguise that Embracer failed, because if this scheme hadn’t collapsed, having one corporation control all those others wouldn’t have been good for anyone but the handful at the top. They have announced plans to break the company up into three smaller ones, which are still comparatively large, but not AS large. The names they picked for these companies are…interesting. (Even more interesting than “Embracer Group.”) Tabletop games publisher Asmodee will once again be its own entity, but it will also be the umbrella for all the other tabletop IPs Embracer bought, including Ticket to Ride, 7 Wonders, Azul, CATAN, Dobble and Exploding Kittens, as

Embracer Group sure stirred up a storm with their buying spree, huh? But hey, sometimes things don't go as planned, and that's okay. Breaking up into three smaller companies sounds like they're hitting the reset button in a big way. It's like they're saying, "Let's try this again, but smaller and smarter." I'm especially intrigued by what Coffee Stain & Friends are cooking up with all those indie game publishers.

Splitting into three smaller entities seems like a smart move to keep things in check. I'm curious about these new names they've picked out though. Wonder what kind of vibes they'll bring to the table.

Embracer Group is breaking up, and it's like the end of an era. But you know what they say, when one door closes, three more open, right? Splitting into Asmodee, Coffee Stain & Friends, and Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends is a bold move, but it might just be what they need to stay relevant in this ever-changing industry. And those company names? They're like something out of a fantasy novel. Asmodee sounds like a mysterious kingdom, and Coffee Stain & Friends sounds like the coolest coffee shop in town. Overall, it's definitely an interesting development, and I'm curious to see how each of these new companies will thrive on their own.

Woah, Embracer's hitting the reset button, huh? Splitting into three sounds like they're trying to find their groove in a crowded market. Asmodee taking charge of tabletop games feels like a return to roots. I can already imagine the game nights filled with competition and fun. Coffee Stain & Friends embracing indie games is like rooting for the underdogs. It's like they're saying, "We may be small, but we're fierce." And Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends grabbing those heavyweight IPs? It's like watching a blockbuster movie unfold. It'll be exciting to see how each new entity finds its place in the gaming world
