Kikaida - Talk Up!

Well, I got DVD in the mail two days ago. So what do you guys think of this show?

It's cool and all, but I'd rather Zubat get the attention Kikaida hogs.

I always liked how they had musical instruments. I think I'd always watched it with 01, so I'd always thought Kikaida looked like a little kid next to 01. Great memories though.

Personally, I like the anime version better. Im guessing they're both the same, but I dont know.

They are, only the anime version of Kikaider is based on Ishinomori's manga. I, of course, prefer the original tokusatsu Kikaider, as I grew up with it. (The anime is not bad, but way too slow-paced and passive for me.)

I have the complete manga version, which I read some of. I think the manga was much better than the anime that was based on it.

I always thought of Kikaider as the robot superhero version of Frankenstein's Monster (with some Pinocchio; Only Pinnochio "grew up" into Frankenstein's Monster in the manga/anime).

Hmm... I noticed something on this show...

Look at the suit:

The suit is shiny.

Hmm couldn't find the pic of the suit, not shiny.

Anyway, they kept switch and switch. The suit was shiny and then later, switch, the suit wasn't shiny.

Anywho, I'm really, really enjoy with this show so far. This show is pretty serious and dark. That was fantastic.

The question is, when will they get his father back? I'd love to see them together. Please tell me what episode and please, no spoilers.
