Kamen Rider ZO - Talkback

Forever Knight

Eye See You
I just watched it finally with subs after owning the Cantonese dub for 5 years now on VCD and it fucking owns.

I'm just on my way out the door with my friends mom but what did you guys think of it?.

Shougo, can u gimme a Stunt actor list ?.

The only thing I liked about this movie was the exchange (which was pretty long in itself) in the end fight scene that was edited to make it look like one continuous take. Okamoto's work wasn't really that impressive; it looked pretty much the same as Black's.

ZO. Then he went on to J which I didn't even finish watching.

Edit: I'm actually not sure at all who was Doras.

Been quite a while since I saw this. This was back when I was looking for pretty much anything Tokusatsu to check out.

Was this the one where he fights the monster underground or grows gigantic?

He stays small in this one. J was when he had the amazing ability to rip off Ultraman in more ways than 1.

Doras was played by Kazuyoshi Yokoyama, whose major roles were Oh Red, Red Racer and Mega Red...while Jiro Okamoto supposedly played the Red Doras, which I guess makes sense, since it had absorbed ZO...

Kiyoto Nakagawa, who also played Ptera Ranger and Oh Yellow was the Bat Monster.

I think ZO is a slick looking movie, but there's really nothing interesting about it. The ZO guy has the look of a Rider, but the personality of a wet rag. Neat designs, though. I was just mentioning that the manga adaptation of ZO had a love story between ZO and Hiroshi's sister, which I guess was cut out in the end. That might have made the movie more memorable...

I still wanna know what was up with ZO in the second half of that comic. He suddenly has a mouth, and the artist has a habit of drawing him completely differently between two consecutive panels. Which is weird, because the first half or so was pretty straightforward.

The film starts hauntingly and interesting enough with the forest sequence, but felt kinda dull overall. Actually prefered J of the two films, but then I'm a sucker for the Ultraman riffs.
