Kamen Rider Wizard EP 47 - "Wiseman's Revelations"

I'm annoyed that we don't get more female Phantom, and that the last MotW is a male Phantom that's supposed to be female -__-

and I knew it, Mage won't really defeat Medusa even with Holy Ring. It doesn't make any sense anyway, why would something as special as Holy Ring can be used by a Mage to defeat a high-ranking Phantom.....if Infinity or White Wizard used it, then I can see it being powerful enough to defeat Medusa, but a Mage? Nope.

Mayu isn't a "regular Mage" she is probably Land.

Haruto is Flame
Mayu is Land
Yuzuru is Water
Masahiro is air

i don't think so, mayu i think has the same non-element powers as the white wizard has (the change ring and the mage ring has the same colored stones) and the other mages have the same rings as mayu has, it could apply that mages don't have a main element and can use powers of other elements(like the white wizard and even infinity style). plus like i mentioned before, the white wizard got the infinity ring to make mages out of wizard's elements, The Hydro and Tempest Mages will appear in the next episodes. unsure if we will get Volcano and Horizon Mages though.

I think its kinda interesting that they actually have a major toy (the WW driver) that is named and marketted after a character who is (as far as we know now) for all intents and purposes a mass murderer.
To be fair it's also the Driver for all the different flavours of Mage too. Kinda like how Skull's Lost Driver could also be the toy version of Eternal and Joker's belts.

Did you really expect them to do more than look up a suitably "spidery" name to use?

Yeah the Holy ring was a bit weird. It just produces a fire blast. Is that it? Doesn't really say "holy" to me. My guess is the real reason Fueki wants the Infinity ring is because it combines the powers of all four elements. As people have already speculated, you'll have Haruto in his Flame Style, the three Mages will be Earth, Water and Hurricane/Air and then Wizard using Infinity in the middle to...erm...make his daughter sparkly?

As an aside, if they can make one-off suits for movie Riders - and they presumably made a number of Mage suits for the Wizard movie - couldn't they have made different suits for these guys? They're potentially getting multiple episodes here and all they get is a re-use of the movie suits with a few bits repainted? If you blew the costumes budget and HAD to re-use suits, why not re-use Orga or an Oni outfit and slap a WW belt on them? The little kids watching weren't born when Faiz or Hibiki were airing; they wouldn't know it's a re-use and it would be a cool mythology gag. Even the "she's a girl" excuse doesn't explain it fully now, as we've got two more males. Ah well, just me wishing for things we'd clearly never get

Well, if they hadn't revealed that Wiseman is White Wizard/Fueki a few episodes ago, I think this episode would've had quite a surprise for the audience, but I still did not anticipate that he'd be the one who killed Medusa in the end, and not Mayu.

Personally, I think the actor/actress I'm most impressed about is Erina Nakayama, who plays both Medusa and Mayu in the series. I thought her performance as Medusa was good before, but it isn't until she started her role as Mayu did I realized that she's an excellent actress. It's not just her dialogues, but her mannerisms and demeanor as both twins convinced me that she is one heck of an actress. I hope after Wizard ends, she'd be getting more opportunites elsewhere because I want to see more of her performances. I think she has the potential to be a big star if given the right roles.

Hmm.
Manipulating both sides of a conflict in order to accomplish his goals?

I guess you can say Fueki's quite the wise man!

I agree about Erina, I thought the same since the first arc where Mayu was introduced. There was something in her acting that was... I don't know.
I loved her death scene her btw, didn't think it was overacting as someone said.

They didn't really reveal his identity before this episode though, it's just that the foreshadowing was so blatant you probably were taking it for granted even before the official reveal.

It's been a long run, but finally, everything is beginning to wrap up. :170:

--Wajima's actor really needs to learn to react bigger. It's a serious reveal moment, and he can't give a wide-eyed expression. He's turning into Brock from Pokemon!

--You know, when I joined the Tokusatsu fandom, someone once said that the difference between these shows and things like Power Rangers is that Tokusatsu tends to take itself more seriously, coming off more as a drama or something. Of course, looking back on it, I remember they were mostly talking about Ryuki, however... I don't mind seeing a more serious story for our annual shows like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, but is THIS really the way to go about it? Wizard started out great, but now it seems like they are all depressed about something every other episode, and it's getting old very fast... :disappoin
--Haruto may have been nice about it, but when he handed the Infinity Ring over, all I head was "Here you go, Mayu. I all ready have a big enough arsenal as it is. Losing one gimmick won't hurt me in the LEAST bit!"
--Well of course this guy is going to be the final Wizard. Not even the darkest tokusatsu for adults would kill a pregnant woman. From one father-turned-wizard to another. :rolleyes2:
--Since when does Mayu do the Kyoryuger henshin dance just before she transforms? :sly: Has she done that all the time and I'm just now noticing?
--Ooh! Stabbed in the back and betrayed. :shakefist But for an on-the-verge-of-death scene, Missy's actress sure can act! Believed every second of that!
--:170: *Deep inhale* ... I KNEW IT!!!! SEE?!?! WE ALL FREAKING CALLED IT!!!! Fueki the White Wizard was Wizeman ALL along! Transparent from the VERY beginning! ... But props for keeping the mystery going this long. :) Plenty of people were beginning to second guess themselves.

It's been a while since I was this excited to see the next episode, let alone how the series will end! :D ...Also, is it normal to think that Wolzard would kick the White Wizard's butt just for how underhanded he has been? :sly:

Well Fueki doesn't care if Masahiro becomes a father or not, as long as Koyomi is saved. Which is cruel to take him away from his wife, who's expecting a child. In the end he's going to wind up with nothing. Since he's already destroyed many lives to achieve his goal, including Mayu's Family.

Would be interesting to see what Mayu will do next, I don't think she can't trust WW anymore now, as it turns out

1. WW/Fueki is the real reason Mayu's family died
2. He forced Mayu to take Haruto's most powerful ring for a ring that didn't actually defeat Medusa
3. He killed Medusa, even though he knows Mayu's entire reason for becoming a Mage is to defeat and kill Medusa

Yeah the Holy ring was a bit weird. It just produces a fire blast. Is that it? Doesn't really say "holy" to me.

Yeah, it's disappointing, but then again, it's a special ring being used by a Mage.
Being not flashy and powerful, despite the ring's name and appearance, actually makes sense here.

IMO his reaction is good enough. He's clearly shocked there.

said "gimmick" is his most powerful form, though

--Since when does Mayu do the Kyoryuger henshin dance just before she transforms? :sly: Has she done that all the time and I'm just now noticing?

She did a dance ever since her first henshin :anime:
You just noticed it now, that's all.
