Kamen Rider Wizard EP 39 - "What He Forgot on the Field"

[The Slashing Best]

Is that song that played during Haruto and Kazuma's (Kazuma? Is that his name? Guy with the leg) currently out on any OSTs yet? The acoustic guitar version of Life is Showtime.

It's nice.

Kazuya.

[tigerblood]

- I get Naomi, she is being unreasonable, but I get her

- Haruto standing up to her was SO good

- Beast dual wielding Dice Saber and Mirage Magnum looks cool and is so smart!

- I wonder what the closed fist versus the open hand means. Is Fueki looking for domination and control?

I enjoyed this arc a lot, but I wish they had truncated the coldness from Kazuya a bit and maybe played up the idea that I felt was there but never stated aloud that Kazuya was a hope and inspiration to Haruto. Perhaps he isn't, but could have been if Haruto's parents hadn't died the way they did. Speaking of which, I am not sure how I feel about the placement of this arc here. Should this have come two months ago? I think I would prefer Kida to plot out things more evenly rather than stacking plot movements. We had more back story on Haruto and Fukei/White Wizard coming in to the picture PLUS the Gate and Wajima "struggling" with making Fukei another ring. I feel like this could have been four episodes and just as interesting, had things been tweaked.

[Hobo ODST]

I wish Wizard had more arcs like this, where Haruto is the focus. It shouldn't have taken 39 episodes for us to learn something about Haruto's life before the Sabbat. I mean, it's not like they've had better stories to tell if they're giving us a two-parter about Rinko and Shunpei acting like idiots.

Well people were complaining how the Final Forms of Riders decreased effectiveness against the MOTW over a matter of a few weeks. At least Infinity is actually useful.

I'm just glad they remembered Infinity's super speed. That seemed like something they'd conveniently forget.

In my dreams, I saw images of the moon eclipsing the sun...

--Okay, so I know I'm a little late for not seeing this sooner, but the Phantom is a Bahamut? Aren't those usually some pretty epic/gigantic monsters? :sly: The presentation here leaves something to be desired, but I guess it makes sense that Haruto would have a harder time beating him, at least until he goes Infinity.
--Aww... I was expect Haruto to combine Copy with DragoTime. That would have been epic! 16 Dragon Style Wizards all at once!! Forget Infinity, I'd pay money to see that! :anime:
--Nice trap! Tricking the Phantom with a simple room switch. Gotta love the little creative touches like that.
--You know, I am not sure Nitou fully understands the definition of the word "Rival"... :eyebrow:
--How nice. They bonded and fixed their friendship. If only that witch Naomi could have been there to see the bromance in action.
--Yep. Fueki is White Wizard. Who didn't see that one coming? :rolleyes2:

...and yet, after all that planning, they didn't think to open the window in advance

Really strong episode. I think this arc helps put into perspective Haruto insecurities problems in being a wizard. It all draws from his failure to as a soccer player and leaving his friend behind. Kousuke even had a hand in mending the friendship. It sets up a future for Haurto behind his duties as wizard.

Heading into the final stretch can't wait to see where it goes.

[Mou...Mou...TAUROS!]

like an earlier post, I get Naomi. She gets pretty bitchy and whiny but I can see where she's coming from. And it is a reaction I can see real people feeling in a situation like that (excluding y'know the monsters and suits and stuff)

She'd definitely make an exceptional Horror of the week in GARO though.

"Hey Kazuya, Im not letting Haruto take you away from me"

Or at the very least, shed make a decent Annie Wilkes for Kazuya's Paul Sheldon.

OK episode for me. Personally insulted that the WW didnt turn out to be the donut person. He/she was soooooo obviously the White Wizard up until this episode. And I feel that the show runners really dropped the ball by not following through with the most obvious course of characterization.

"Hello, My name is White Wizard. You never ate any of my other donuts except stupid Plain Sugar. Prepare to die"

EXPLOSION, NOW

Its going to a be a long two weeks.

They don't want to disturb the neighbors. :nono2:
... oh wait! Breaking the glass is a better idea:shakefist

The cast goes to the store to get cereal?

Hehe, It wouldn't totally out of character for any of the cast.
