Yuka and Mari? They weren't yandere. The only yandere in Faiz was Kusaka. :laugh:

Are there any OTHER groups that have picked up Wizard? Because I won't watch OT due to their fifteening and inaccurate subs (if I can tell it's wrong with my feeble Japanese knowledge, I won't watch it). I know TVN isn't much better with their translations (I just can't tell they're wrong), but I hate their effects. Only reason I've gone with them is because there's no one else. Google failed to give me anything other than OT and TVN, and I don't know where to check to see what groups are subbing things.

OT's subs aren't "inaccurate". They're localized for a native non-weaboo English speaker. I.E. For the average English speaker who hasn't had much exposure to anime/Japanese media.

If you can tell which parts aren't in the literal Japanese, it's easy to let it slide and is actually a fun exercise. And the dialogue actually makes sense in real English.

Regarding the fansub war between O-T and T-N. To be dreadfully honest, it's all a matter of preference. You like more literal subs? Want somthing more accurate? Go with TV-Nihon. Want more liberal subs? Hate seeing Japanese in your Japanese media products? Go with Over-Time. Each group has their own pros and cons that might or might not appeal to each individual.

It's when we lack this option to choose between the two should we then complain.

It's as if T-N's subs don't make sense in 'real English'... I've never actually seen a full episode subbed by Over-Time, so I don't want to comment on their sub quality. I've had enough of this argument on other boards regarding Anime fansubs.

How is Kusaka yandere? Yandere is someone nice, quiet and harmless, which turns out to be capable of going ballistic and dangerous given the right circumstances.
Yuka was Yandere because she was nice and quiet, but when put under the pressure she snaps and murders people.
Kusaka is not, because he is aggressive and dangerous all the time. He just pretends not to be like that. Yandere do not pretend. They are so bipolar they can go from innocent flower to serial killer in a snap and be honest in both forms.

You're partially wrong and you should go look up the definition of a yandere.There's more to it.

As for OT and TVN, it's more like OT is what a professional subbing group would actually subtitle things and TVN is if a fan subbing group full of weaboos decided to translate everything literally.OT takes liberties with their subs where the speech seems realistic and fluent while TVN just translates each sentence word by word, no matter how strange it sounds.

Show a T-N sub to any person who has zero knowledge of Japanese and good luck rationalizing how "-tachi"s, "sempais" and "baka-san" make sense in real English.

exactly, and OT to me works better and have a better easy style of translation to understand i've watched TVN and OT for a while and when i sat thru two verisons of the last few Kamen Rider series and i found OT's quality and allot easier to follow rather than clunky awkward translation sentence by sentence. i dunno when i took language classes in high school and in college they always said never do a direct translation try to make it easy to understand for someone who doesn't speak the language to get the gist of what your trying to say.
