Kamen Rider W (Double) - Talk Up!

It did, but I really didn't like Hibiki's second OP.
Well I enjoyed the opening a lot. And honestly Hibiki's change in writing is pretty natural feeling at least to me who watched it from start to finish.
The Second opening is my fave but it's definitely an acquired taste.

I'm of mixed minds on this. I like it in theory, but typically (at least in anime), 2nd OPs are utterly inferior to the originals. Unless a show has a definite change in tone to warrant it in the second half, I don't think it's necessary.

Personally I like the approach of keeping the OP and changing the ED. But most toku series nowadays don't have EDs, so... :(

I do like what Daimajin Kanon did, using the second verse of the song for the second half. (I feel like I've seen that done before too, but I can't think of where.)

Agreed. I miss Kamen Rider Black when I think of tokusatsu ending songs. The second verse is a good idea was well. As long as the song stands well, I like it. That's why I like WBX so much even after hearing it multiple times.

So, somewhat on topic, what's your favorite Double opening, everyone? Mine is the very first one but I like them all. I like the ones with the movie previews as well for some reason. They work.

Man, has there ever been a Kamen Rider series that just got completely screwed by behind the schenes crap as much as Hibiki did?

I guess you could argue Decade with how the original head writer up and quit after episode 12 according to Wikipedia (I know, I know)

Hibiki was more like just getting a Rider show out there just to have one there. It would have been fine to take off a year to get the production ready and to make it work.

(There's also this: Wikipedia = :nono2:)

Ugh, I try so hard to avert my eyes when the movie preview openings come on.

It's like I want to watch but I don't want to spoil myself (I end up giving in anyway :P)

Doesn't that information come from the Japanese Wikipedia, which is generally more reliable? I remember reading that Decade's original writer didn't quit, Toei (for some reason) only hired him to do 12 episodes.

On the subject of music, I would love it if Kamen Rider had more regular music changes. I've always liked the way Takara did things with their shows, 2 openings and 3 to 4 ending sequences.

That's what I read, too. I tend to believe J-Wiki since a lot of the information on it comes from things people have read in interviews from old magazines that we'll just never have access to.

Maybe next time I get out to Japan I'll hit up Mandarake with a list of magazines those sorts of interview citations come from. And then I will be INVINCIBLE.

And you'll also have people pestering you to translate all of those interviews.

But really, that's why everyone learns Japanese, right? That and to be able to order their god awful ice cream.

 Awesome.
