Didn't it happen to most riders, at about 1/4 into the series they cut back on sounds and effects?

I remember Emperor Form did the showoff henshin for about 10-15 episodes after debut, then it just looked like normal Kiva henshin except gold instead of silver.

And Blade King Form also cut down on the effects.

So might be because of that... Then again, why spend half a minute per episode with something the viewers have seen for the past 5 months.

yeah, they generally cut back after something has gotten to a certain oldness

They should just either just leave it or change something new.

Wow I didn't know that at all. What about Zack the black ranger?

I mean I knew why they pick those 2 for those obvious reasons, but I didn't know there was a dispute over it.

Really? I thought everyone who watched PR back in the day had heard about that stuff... The actors didn't get sacked or anything, but when it came time to replace the Black and Yellow Rangers, you'll notice they went with an Asian guy and an African-American girl. :laugh:

I didn't notice at the time, of course, being all of 10 years old, but I read about it later.

I'm not complaining though, I loved both Zack and Adam. Especially Adam. :thumbs:

Seriously. As cool as a thing is, it can get old after the 20th time you've seen it.

well, people thought they were intentionally replaced to avoid flack for accidental racism, but in reality, the actors for Zack, Trini, as well as Jason all quit after a dispute involving their contracts and lack of raise in pay

Yeah, like I said, they weren't fired because of the race issue. They left for other reasons, then were replaced by actors who didn't have the same possibilities for getting people overly-excited about it. I think Rocky is still the only Latino Red Ranger, isn't he?

I didn't know he was latino

Yeah, his last name is DeSantos. Plus, in the episode at the end of season 3 where each of them have to find a piece of the Zeo crystal, he gets sent to Mexico. Kind of like how Kat gets sent to Australia, Adam to Korea, Aisha to Africa, etc.

He doesn't ever speak Spanish in the show though, I don't think, so it's pretty easy to forget.

If my memory serves my correctly, the reason why the 3 left it is because they want a higher salary.
