Kamen Rider W & Decade: Movie Wars 2010 (spoiler)

Xtreme arc? The Xtreme arc didn't tell any relevant backstory about him either. We saw a single random case from his past and learned a bit more about his personality, but most of his past still remains a mystery.

We probably will learn it... as exposition. Considering how they haven't brought Skull's actor back even once so far.

Why should they even focus so damn much on Sokichis past? It´s not his show. It is about Shotaor and Philip. The Only thing we have to know about Sokichi is how he got the Driver and the Memories. Thats it and nothing more.

Everything else would just destroy the whole mysterie about him. Sokichi is this Bad Ass Detective because we know nothing about him and everything we see is the things Shotaro and Clients/Friend sof him remember about Sokichi.

Badly done investigations... Wow... Not even going to ask about that because honestly I think they do a good job and you are just nitpicking.:redface2:

In most Double cases, investigation is basically handled as exposition. The viewer can't follow unraveling of the mystery because it's just given by exposition. Evidence is obtained without giving any chance to the viewer guess its significance before it's just beaten on their heads. Double has mostly wasted the detective motif.

Begin's Night suffers from the same problem. In addition to the exposition, there's basically no resolution of the mystery, even. The Dummy Dopant just reveals everything to them, by seeking them out and after losing to them afterwards. The abilities of the Dummy Dopant used to create the "mystery" also immediately disappear when it is "solved". Several significant points aren't addressed at all by the movie too (like how he was able to copy Skull and Narumi so well).

Regarding the general storyline, rather than the individual cases, there's the Sonozaki situation. Shotaro and Philip had all the reason in the world to suspect them, yet they still needed a big info dump in last week's episode to get anywhere.
