Well maybe, the hirings of Toshiko Seki and the other VA sorta handcuffed Toei into making a comedy show. Or maybe they were just gonna try something new.

Well after they saw how good comedy sold in Japan, they probably just tried to integrate it more frequently in Kamen Rider to prevent it from getting too scary for kids. But looking at OOO's cast, it doesnt really have an Akiko/Hana-esque character. The girl seems a bit more like Natsumi.

Honestly, I can't really say something bad about Den-O since it's my first Kamen Rider series.
As long as I enjoyed the show, I don't need to ask more. :thumbs:

Actually what I am really looking forward to is the second Rider to see if my hunch is right. I have noticed that in Rider series Kobayashi has done so far the second Rider (Knight in Ryuki and Zeronos in Den-O) could be argued to actually be the central character instead of the titular Rider, instead him being the point of view character which allows us to relate to the story. If this is true this could work to the show's advantage, putting most of the tie-ins on OOO allowing the second Rider's screen time to be put more towards the story.

So by this logic I don't think Kiva should be considered a Kamen Rider series because it was to heavy on the romance and the actor for Otoya had to much fun playing him. And how do you know being in the Imagin suits all day are fun. It must of been hot as hell in those thing and Seiji had to learn the mannerisms for Ura, Kin, and Ryu for when Den-O was in there forms. If anything Den-O was Seiji hardest Rider. Not to mention it must not be pretty fun when you have next to ZERO vision.
I'm really sick of people hating on Den-O because it's funny. It was a comedy! They were trying something new! Just like how Kiva was a romance. Not ever Kamen Rider has to be the same. We except Hibiki because he "wasn't really a Rider" but we don't except Den-O why? Because he had the belt? Because he said "Henshin"? Because he had a kick? Because he has bug eyes? Oh no it's because he TRIED TO MAKE LITTLE JAPANESE KIDS LAUGH!!! No one has to like Den-O and you can hate it for all the movies it has that's understandable but Den-O is a mother fucking Kamen Rider.

WTF are you talking about? :sly: It was fun for Jiro and the crew since they were acting in a slapstick comedy. Yes it was probably hot, but the product itself which is the episode is what matters. Den-O is different, that's what I'm saying so put your ass on the ice and relax since nobody is bashing Den-O.
