Kamen Rider OOO - Talk Up!

I think all the interest in Goseiger has pretty much passed away in favour of Goukaiger, though personally I still think Goseiger is an entertaining show (not that I've ever posted in the Goseiger thread, I'm way too out of the loop for that )

I dunno why OOO has so much more excitement about it from the people on the forum, I guess there's just more stuff to argue about and to fangasm over :P

People are still butthurt over Decade and the Tensou cards and Tensounder remind them too much of the Decadriver and DCD Cards. (It's the same type of card with the same bar-code, just yellow instead of magenta). THis makes certain people *cough*Darkster*cough* frustrated.

I guess. They're both moths. I still think Mothra is cooler.

Mothra scared the fucking **** out of me when I first saw him in those big monster movies.

And he still does to this fucking day......and I think the Moth Yummy might do the same to me depending on if he'll appear EXACTLY like that in the actual live-action sequences of the episodes.

But not everything on a magazine scan will look the same as a live-action scene from film or tv, so I'm hoping it won't look that fucking scary.

This talk about Mothra has gotten me in the mood to watch a Kaiju movie. I'll watch the first recommendation I get if I can find it. :anime: Please recommend me one. I have a Gamera movie here somewhere just in case.

Godzilla X MechaGodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. were always two of my favourite Goji flicks :castlerock:

There's Godzilla vs Mothra & all monsters attack.

the villains are switched around so much that we're not given the time to get to know anything about them, other than they want to DESTROY THE WORLD MWAHAHAHA, and the entire angelic theme hasn't really been explored to its full potential. As a result I just don't care.

It's better than a show like Gekiranger, Abaranger or even W where such an effort is made to "humanize" the enemy that the threat is completely lost - I'm fearing OOO will go the same path by trying to show a softer side to Ankh (so far, not yet, but he's already shown a fondness of sorts for Eiji.) At least having them want to destroy the world makes them evil. The result isn't great (case in point: http://writebadlywell.blogspot.com/2010/05/make-your-villain-genuinely-evil.html) but if you try to develop the villains too well or create audience sympathy, you will get a "Rooting for the Empire" situation where they become more popular than the hero(es)

The difference between those "humanized" villains and Goseiger's villain-of-the-arc is that they are probably more interesting to watch. Regarding Abaranger, I for one, was interested in whether or not Asuka's wife would be able to keep her masquerade up for long after her brainwashing wore off or if Mikoto would stay alive to the end.
