Kamen Rider OOO - Talk Up!

Just watched Episode 6, awesome! Finally, forms that has a side effect to it! I'd been waiting for a while now ever since Kuuga and Blade King Form :D OOO won me over with this episode. As for the argument on whether Hina's an useless character or not, I don't dare say, but what I think is that, support characters doesn't necessarily need to tie into the whole situation. They are just support characters to those who are involved in the things. If you wanna talk, Godai's sister and the kindergarden children never were 'directly' useful for the fights. They can be like Ichijou or Akiko, as long as they are not written badly.

I wonder what would had happened if Inoune was the one to write this episode? What Eiji spoke about greed, I have to agree. Too bad Bandai will then proceed to sell em Candriods. Kinda contradict the idea of the series about human greed destroying humans. But ehh oh well. Actually won't the line Eiji said indirectly mean "So kids, don't senselessly buy every single product we throw at ya in the show ;D"

Well, I think the message was more like "it's okay to want things as long as you're not physically hurting others or yourself in the process." The feeling of wanting to buy more Bandai toys isn't really hurting anyone (well, maybe your parent's wallet :P)

Though if you strip it down to a more basic form, it's about "not hurting anyone with that greed" So good enough for me. :D

So Gordon Gecko is the true author of OOO?

Too bad the episode didn't take it as seriously as you did. Whoever is directing the "comedy" bits of OOO is clearly doing a terrible job of it. Had this been Kuuga, that scene would have been given much more attention than just a "Haha Eiji falls over!"

So that was the real meaning behind Eiji's speech to Hina? Subtle endorsement of Bandai.

What you didn't find the failbike funny? I lol when Wiji put his hands in handlebar position.

That and the "pull out his underwear by mistake" scene from ep. 4 are about the only attempts at humor that have actually worked thus far. Everything else has just been inappropriate for the scene they were in.

I wouldn't call Den-O the pinnacle of funny KR. It was just too cartoonish

At least they made an effort to address the hypocrisy of "Greed is bad, kids - now go out and buy our toys!" I'm not saying it actually worked, but they addressed it ...

I think the funny stuff in Kabuto, especially all that Tsurugi did, remains my favourite comedic elements of any Rider show I've seen.

So far OOO has managed to make me both giggle and laugh, especially Eiji's trouble with the vending bike and his interactions with the Candroids.

Oddly enough, one of the biggest laughs I've gotten from OOO so far was in the very first episode, when Ankh gets the vending machine dropped on top of him. I don't know why, I think it's the cry he makes that gets to me :P

Even Den-O's overdose of Imajin antics was better than the complete ruining of Tsurugi's character, such as it was. Honestly, a grown-man in a cupid outfit dancing around while everyone is discussing important plot stuff is funny?
