I'd assume so.

I think he did a great first series and now he should work on other things (you know, like Digimon) for like two or three years. Then maybe Toei can get him for another series. Don't want to burn him out too quickly

If we get a run of shows by Kobayashi and Toshiki Inoue? Probably. I think part of the positive response to W was just getting to see a Heisei Rider show done in a fresh style. If you watch Kamen Rider year-in and year-out, you're likely familiar with Kobayashi and Inoue to the point where you can easily predict their character types and plot twists. I think the fandom was frankly getting burned out on them and happy to have a totally different production team for a year.

I think more than wanting another Sanjo/Hasegawa show, I'd like to see another pair of writers who've never gotten a crack at Rider get to do their own series. Kobayashi and Inoue really aren't bad writers, we just see their work too often. There's any number of mangaka or anime guys or even Ultraman writers who could probably turn in a Rider show that'd be really interesting just by virtue of offering a new perspective on the material.

I'm gonna agree with Hidden Masta on this one. Give Kobayashi a chance for god's sake, I mean four episodes in and it's pretty good so far IMHO. As good as Riku Sanjo and Keiichi Hasegawa were with W, they're gone now so let's just get over it.

I'm still a Kiva fan to this day. But sadly, Fang is right on the money on all the things that irritated me about Kiva's poorly written plot execution.

Don't forget the episodes when Otoya took control of Wataru's body. They never really showed when it happened did they? Big plot-hole.

And the new forms for OOO... I am very excited.

I agree with you 100%. I think they should also do that with Sentai.

Agreed. Besides, I heard if you think of Den-O as a standalone series, it's not that bad. (I gave up on episode one and browse through episode 12. So yeaaaahhh.) I second the notion of getting more new writers though.

Anyways, on to episode 4(finally watched it! Along with Garo episode 1!) Garo was badass!!-

Oh yeah, OOO! Anyways, episode 4, pretty interesting. But I didn't felt any sense of grief, regret or anything from Eiji's actor when he was talking about how he'll regret it so much he'll rather die if he doesn't help those who he can help. I'm not that good a judge of acting and I don't often pay attention to the acting but yeaaah. This episode is actually pretty nice, I like the fact that they are still using the bikes, although there's basically no stunts.

Anyone else find the cake dude super annoying with his big screaming emphasis on some certain words? That...annoys me. I'm finally liking the dynamic between Anku and Eiji too, would make for a good ending if Anku ends up as the big bad at the end of the series somehow, they make for a good pair of duos, and they can get along when needed, but they are two completely different people, different from W's, good enough for me.

I'm interested in what note this series will end on. Here's hoping Kobayashi will stick out of doing anything involving "time" in general. As that will just be way off. Like Kiva & time travel off. Time travel was one of the things that ruined Kiva for me.

As for OOO's sword? I wish it'll say "OZU!" instead of "Triple Scanning Charge." But that's all, I don't really mind the belt being too overly modern for an ancient belt...yet. I want to see more bike stunts though. Oh, and is OOO's design starting to grow on anyone else who first liked it, then decided he doesn't really like it much?

Well for starters the RideVendor doesn't really lend itself to many stunt related scenes, I mean it's a Honda Shadow which is fairly bulky and was Kiva's Machine Kivaa (and how many stunts did we see done with this one?).

As for the Kougami, he is pretty annoying and useless in the show for now. Next episode though shows some light in his involvement in the show with offering a deal with Eiji and Ankh, though I don't believe that this will be anything significant.

You know speaking of bikes... its amazing how those stunt man can drive with SO little field of vision! I mean if you look at the OOO helmet you can tell the seeing holes are in the notches on the hawk's tail right beneath the eyes. That's not a big field of vision to be driving a motorcycle o.o

It's a chopper?! Awesome!(I don't know much about bikes by the way. Never was into vehicles till recently.) Guess I'll just have to settle for the occasional usage and a few stunts here and there then, which is good enough I guess for a heisei rider show once you look at Kiva. It'll be badass if there's any racing scenes though. Then again, none of the current Greeds would seem like one who would get on a bike, like it, use it, and race OOO with it. God I miss the awesome hopper grongi in Kuuga.

Same goes for Decade too. D: But well, maybe next year they could return to designs which allows a bigger field of vision, oh and a protagonist rider that rides trial bikes.
