I am kind of hoping for something like that if they ever move beyond the Greeds as the "main villains". Personally I think you could get a whole show out of the Greeds, but the type of Rider show that OOOs is usually wants something more badass for its last 20 episodes anyways.

I kind of have an easy in with OOOs and the Buddhism and the fthagn. I studied Japanese approaches to religious thought in college as part of my minor. Wrote a couple big term papers on Japanese Buddhism. So a lot of this stuff kicks me in the head where the average Western viewer really has no particular reason to see this stuff.



I've wondered if this might've given Kobayashi the idea to run with Buddhism as a theme, probably after she saw the toy design and had the toy guys explain the gimmick to her. The toys clearly weren't designed to embody any particular motif beyond "ANIMALS ARE AWESOME," which is why Toei bothers to hire writers to make the shows about the toys more than just 24-minute ads.

I wish we'd get an actual ancient looking belt for one of those series about ancient powers re-emerging. The OOO driver and scanner look way too modern.

Anyway I don't know much about buddhism but I know there's a pretty complex cosmology so maybe we'll see being from that cosmology at some point like Asuras or something?

And I'm with you, the seven deadly sin motif would be cheap and boring and just wouldn't fit.

Most probably Eel, though it hasn't been officially confirmed yet. Since OOO's water based form is ShaUTa (Shachi/Orca, Unagi/Eel, Tako/Octopus).

And same with Ankh's animals though not officially confirmed they are Hawk, Peacock and Condor (not Eagle), since OOO's bird form is TaJaDoru and Doru comes from Condor.

Although it is way too early to be predicting OOO's final form, my guess is Toei taking the route of using an upgraded form of TaToBa, just like W's CycloneJokerXtreme. But Eiji using all the medals as his final form would be cooler, since medals won't be tossed aside and be forgotten.

Don't worry Bandai will find a way, that is to sell an attachment of sorts to put onto the existing OOO Driver.
