I think now we know why the yellow combo is called 'LaTorarTar', it's to stop confusion, and you can see there's a difference in the katakana for the short name of Cheetah and Tako, the Cheetah has '一' in the front and back, while Tako hasn't, but still Cheetah is still called 'Ta' in normal forms. I wonder how they are going to separate the two?

Yeah, but that's why you call the form "LaToraTah" with an "h" because Cheetah has an "h" while Tako has no "h."

Also, if it had an "r" wouldn't it be pronounced "La-Toraru-Taru" in Japanese?

The tah from cheetah is a long sound while the ta from tako is a short sound. It's pretty easy to me.
