Kamen Rider OOO Rumor/Picture Thread

If Greeeds are superior to Yummies and fulls forms are at the same level as Greeeds than it wouldn't matter which full form he uses to beat a Yummy cause you'd never see Gamel or any other Greeed lose to just one Butterfly Yummy.

 I see. It looks like Toei's calling the shots on how the second Rider should be. That's why Terui was a jerk before becoming a Kamen Rider.

I can bet you he'll be the sort that will attack Eiji at the slightest glimpse of him. Every. Single. Fricking. Time.

You realize we've seen enough of Eiji to get a full picture of everything right? What does Gotou have to work with? The naive idiot who works with the unsealed demon?

:rolleyes2: Just for once, why can't we have:
1. a secondary Rider that isn't a complete prick
2. Kobayashi writes a character who is a complete prick and is treated as such - instead of the fanbase worshipping him (Takeru, Yuuto, Knight ...)

Well if KR insists on always having an asshole 2nd Rider (except Chalice, I love Chalice) then I'll abandon OOOs and stick to Super Sentai...

You have total:

1. G3
2. Knight
3. Kaixa
4. Garren (by appearance) or Chalice (by pure show time)
5. Ibuki
6. TheBee (by appearance) or Gatack (by show time)
7. Zeronos
8. IXA
9. Diend
10. Accel

Most of them started off standoffish, but only the bolded ones remained antagonistic throughout their entire run. Zeronos and Accel's time in asshole land was rather short, Diend was just sort of there, Nago IXA was haphazard at best, and Garren started off rather batshit. Even Gatack did the whole 'road to hell is paved with good intentions bit', but that's because Kabuto was an inscrutable dick. G3 and Ibuki remains the most straightforward of the whole list, and surprisingly for both of them it was an actual job.

As far as motivations go, Gotou's personality would have him playing out like IXA.

Ten shows. I think we have a varied track record.

I'll just skip scenes like Gotou grabbing Eiji by the collar (2nd Riders tend to do that)
Well yeah. The common theme here is another Rider generally have different motivations for doing things. When those motivations conflict with those of the main Rider, the fight is on. That's just basic storytelling.
Why can't there be any friendly or non-abrasive 2nd Riders? There are very few of those, like G3, Diend, Ibuki, etc.
See above. There were quite a few. You leave Zeronos and Accel off the list, but they both warmed up in maybe four episodes tops.

I understand the reason for having an asshole Rider is so there can be a Rider Battle, but can't it be for reasons other than the 2nd Rider has a massive problem with the main Rider, like say fighting each other just as a sparring session or something.
I actually don't remember Ibuki or Zeronos fighting their main Rider at all. That's two out of ten. G3, TheBee, and IXA were all from groups or organizations that directly opposed the main Rider for most of their show. Up to five out of ten. Diend barely bothered with Decade outside of grabbing that world's foozle. Six. Garren was smoking the crack for the first half of the show, and barely cared what Kenzaki did. Seven.

That leaves Knight, Kaixa, and Accel, who directly dislike the main Rider. As I said before, Accel warms up pretty quickly.

I don't like Gotou, but there's a lot of hate because he was going to shoot the demon, and dislikes helping the guy working with the demon. And this is the demon that we know full well is not a good guy, and would actively let people die to get his shinies. Eiji's his saving grace, but Gotou doesn't know that. We do.

I'm glad there's someone else here who also sees Gotou as a rational being. I agree with those who say he's not exactly likeable, because he's certaintly cold, professional and distant when he interacts with people. But he's not an asshole.

Ankh is evil, and Eiji is childish and somewhat unreliable. These are valid reasons for someone with a professional and deeply motivated mindset to dislike them, and we see and hear very clearly that Gotou questions Eiji's right and ability to use OOO's powers to save the world from the Greeed.

If Gotou turns out to be the 2nd Rider it might lead to some very interesting character development, since he'll finally have the ability to take matters into his own hands and pose an actual threat to the Greeed himself, rather than just be an errand boy bringing Eiji the presents from Kougami.

I have to agree now, in retrospect, since Gotou is just fighting for humanity's side, then it makes sense why he did what he did or whatever... But then again, I was just hoping for a Hikawa-like Rider who admires the unidentified being fighting his enemies with him (Agito)... Though considering Eiji's naivety, then it makes sense that Gotou turns out to believe in himself more than Eiji.

I can see Shintaro getting fustrated with Eiji, due to him being an amature and not seeing the bigger picture. It's like a pro working with a rookie who won't listen.
