Kamen Rider Kuuga General Discussion Thread

The scene where Kuuga turned into Rising Titan form and just beat up that Grongi with no mercy is probably one of the best moments in KR.:castlerock:

I will be the first to admit, I was genuinely afraid to watch Kuuga and Agito as a child. Especially since the demonic face of Grandiene from GoGo V was on right before it. Masahiro Inoue admitted to being afraid of Kuuga and Agito!!!

But Godai definitely seemed to calm me I guess. Though when Kuuga would use the filters in some of its episodes, it really had that creepy horror vibe to it. Especially with Kuuga's scary metal music.

Oh same here, I was always afraid of Kuuga's monsters, the tone and music made it so scary. Gooma pretty much creeps me out completely. I won't even consider watching if I were alone in a room.

Kuuga's monster designs and the settings pretty scared the crap out of me when I watched it for the first time. Especially that ghostly sounds and feeling in scenes with the Grongi being sary and Daguba.

The zombie mushroom episode was scary too, the hand in the river, zombie-ish monster growing out of a big organic bag thing. That creeped me out too.

LOL, even the mere Bat Grongi flying from the ruins to Tokyo was creepy.

LOL. It had nipple rings!!! Then again, all of them had nipple rings basically. Or some form of Gothic piercings.

I enjoyed how Sazaru could melt stuff, and the episode where she freaking entered a elevator, and melted everyone inside. That is twisted.

Ginoga..the Mushroom Grongi was the one that really hit me. How its basically a transvestite Grongi and when he poisoned Godai, man, he really acted like he was convulsing and choking. Especially considering all the pale make up he wore, we don't see main Riders get hurt like that anymore, although Accel getting kicked on fire comes close.

Gooma's gradual transformation was creepy. His arm would like, morph back and forth...hardcore stuff man.

Probably because you started off with faster-paced Rider shows like Decade.

It's elementary that older shows tend to have a slower pace since it was the norm at the time, and as time passed by, producers had to quicken up the pace from the shows before to keep the audience interested.

So please don't be biased with judging older shows just because you're used to what we have now, since you're missing what's important in Kuuga, the content.

Godai Yusuke is basically the gold standard of Heisei Kamen Rider. The selfless hero and like all the Showa Riders, a lone warrior against seemingly insurmountable evil.

But compared to other Heisei Riders, I can understand why he may be not as interesting as say Takumi, Phillip or Shoichi.
