It was particularly hot that day, well at least hot by the usual Japanese standards. Among the hot and sweaty people that littered the streets, most of which were desperately searching for a place to cool down there was one young man among that didnt have a single drop of sweat on him. Aside from his obvious immunity to the heat was his facial features, that didnt match up with those around him. This young man was obviously not of the Japanese race, but was instead American something that he didnt see alot of over on this side of the ocean. "Damn, if these people are getting like this from just a little warmth then they would probably melt in real heat." he muttered to himself while laughing. He was from a particularly hot area of the States known as California, which of course was known for being rather sunny, and to him it felt like his particular hometown was closer to the sun than the rest of the planet as well. He grew up in heat, he lived in heat, he thrived in heat, put simply he could handle heat and to him this barely even qualified as heat. "Now lets see, how can I use this weather to my advantage..." the young man muttered to himself. Rick Curtiss was his name, his original purpose for being here was a a simple vacation but thanks to the worms and his becoming the weilder of the Kabuto system there was a little change in plans for him. He was rather accepting of his situation, more than most would be, but he still had some issues when it came to getting money to pay for the continued use of his hotel room and food to keep himself fueled with and thus he chose to use every talent and piece of knowledge he good to fulfill those needs with pretty much as little effort as he possibly could. Heroes needed to conserve their strangth for the really important matters after all! Generally he would swing by various restaurants and would often make wagers with the management for either a part time job or a free meal, but today evey place seemed to be packed with people attempting to escape the intense heat. By the looks of things it would be a slow day, but at least he could always win a bet or twelve with the hotel staff later on, they tended to be an easy win anyway.
For the time being he continued to just walk around rather aimlessly until he spotted something odd out of the corner of his eye, or rather two somethings. Two people which looked perfectly identical. Now identical twin siblings did pop up from time to time but even then there were different usually different details. No these two were perfectly identical down to the very last detail, which meant only one thing: one of these two mirror images was a worm. But which one was it? By the looks of it the two hadnt ran into each other, just were in the same general area. For the most part worms didnt go nuts until meeting face to face with their double. "Ahhhh hell guessing will take too long.." he said while grabbing one of them by the collar and dragging him over to the other. Suddenly the one that he grabbed flew into a violent rage before breaking free of Rick's grip and taking it's true form, that of one of the pupa like worms known as a Salis Worm. Suddenly several other people transformed into identical forms as they typically did when one of their kind as exposed.
"Just cocoons huh?" he said while the normal humans ran off in every direction, like roaches running from a light, something which was more than a little convinient for him since it meant less people would see him transform. "Well this will be easy." he said while putting on the belt and raising his hand upwards toward the sky before a mechanical beetle flew out of nowhere and into his hand. "Henshin." he said rather clamly as he slid the Kabuto Zecter onto his belt, causing it to repeat the word Henshin in a deep robotic tone as hexagonal patterns began expanding forth from the belt and enveloping him before finally forming into the Kamen Rider Kabuto's masked form. Before the worms could even make a move he took out the Kabuto Kunai Gun which had manifested on his belt when his armor formed and fired several shots at the worms, before grabbing it by the gun barrel and swinging the Kunai Gun in it's axe mode at one of the worms, perfectly horizontally bisecting it, causing it to explode into a burst of green fire. "One down, fifteen more to go, it's almost too easy." he said smugly as he looked at the horde of worms in front of him.
