Off topic: What are the original Kamen Riders like? Worth getting the movie DVD set from anime-icon?

On topic: I've seen it spelt Kamen Renaider many a time, mainly cos those dumbasses use shitty online translators. Argh! When will they learn?

I've seen the first episode of Kamen Rider. Takes getting used to the look and feel. More like a mature mystery/horror type-thing. At least that's the vibe I got from it.

If you've only seen Riders post 2000. The SFX and suits in the older shows may make you cringe.

Original KR's are definately vintage as hell. Choreography, costumes... all hammed to the high heavens.

They definately take getting used to, but when you do, they are pretty cool. I mean, we love our Tachibana's, Shinji's and Takumi's... but these guys are larger than life heroes.

The kinda almost heroic father figure that stands tall and says, "No one will hurt you on my watch."

Classic Kamen Riders are the guys and heros we look up to... the New Generation Riders are guys we could be.

Kamen Renaider was a short, maybe 10-min parody done in Japan around the time of Ryuki. TV-Nihon does not, in fact, know their stuff -so- badly that they would misspell Kamen Rider. =P
