Kamen Rider Gaim - News/Rumors Thread 2: Suffering Incoming

I think Kamen Rider Gaim will have 40 - 44ish episodes. Considering how there is at least 1 more week that the show will be preempted in the Summer and since most of the new Kamen Rider series had 48 episodes, Gaim will lose a month's worth due to Wizard getting 53 episodes. I'm gonna assume a new Rider series will premiere in the first Sunday in September. I'm sure the Kikaider team up will probably just take place in one of the Gaim episodes and not another separate special like with the Toqgers.

I'm perfectly fine if Gaim gets less episodes than most Rider series. The show is so well put together and nothing drags on every week. It doesn't make a difference for me. Unless Gen does something stupid to the story, Gaim is already a better show than Fourze and Wizard in my opinion. In terms of storytelling, they don't even come close to Gaim. Gaim started off strong and lets hope it will end strongly.

As much as I am loving the show thus far, I wouldn't want a sequel season. Better to let the show come to a naturally planned conclusion and leave it at that than to go on and potentially make a relatively contrived plot for a second season that given probable odds, would have little reason to exist.

I'm not very fussed about the lower episode count for this show. So far not a single episode has been utterly wasted and they've all carried the story along in varying degrees. Better to have a well-paced, tighter-written show even with fewer episodes in number than to have a show with around 52 episodes or so, but most of which feature barely anything conducive to the main overarching plot.

Still plenty of time to wrap all the current plot threads up in a timely way, unless Urobuchi inexplicably decides/is forced to have a Fourze moment and do a "OH YEAH, LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE PRESENTERS" thing at the 11th hour.

I'm thinking if they actually write a sequel, it's better to just use one or two characters from the existing show, with another one or two references to other characters, then introduce completely new people and slowly detach from the elements of the first season.

Similar to Kuuga-Agito where the two are completely unrelated. But a little bit more connection between the two, where Kouta is still the main protagonist but uses new equipment to become a new Rider for different circumstances.

That has to be humiliating, Jinba Cherry Arms vs Cherry Energy Arms. From what I've read on the stats of Jinba Cherry, it's a glorified Jinba Lemon exactly, but with super speed. Sid is in for a butt-whooping if that's the case.

Super battle power according to that scan. According to the description in the official site, Jimba Lemon takes Gaim to Duke's level. The official stats for the Lemon and Cherry seem to be basically identical though, in spite of the descriptions. Although, Cherry still doesn't have its final description, maybe they just copied and pasted Lemon's stats there without thinking too much about it, and when we get the full profile they'll fix that.

So in the ToQger VS Gaim special today, Kaito was about to leave Team Gaim's hideout, but as soon as Mitchi mentioned Mai, he stopped frozen in his tracks. Next episode preview shows a scene of what seems to be Kaito spying on Mai, and add to the earlier episodes where they had interactions, I'm wondering if this indicates that he has some feelings for her...
