If regular Zangetsu returns, he should get an upgrade.

Then again... Even better if he and Gaim team up once again. Gaim would be in Kachidoki/Kiwami Arms and he hand Zangetsu his Genesis Core and Melon Energy Lockseed (which he likely would've won from Micchy) and Zangetsu become Jinba Melon Energy. That would be totally sweet.

from the looks of kiwami arms, we know that is going to be full "dai-shogun-ish", right ??
i hope kouta's personality will change to be a leader as well, i mean for now he's not fully mature evolved just yet, so maybe when he get this his final upgrade in its own arc, it will make him to be able to handle all the situation around him very well and careful, just like a leader, just like a shogun should :thumbs:

It's most likely 180% nothing at all, but I noticed Takatora had a scar at the exact same spot as Demushu got from Baron. In the flashback where Takatora is testing the Prototype of the Sengoku driver you can clearly see a scar on his right side (our left)..

Reading the preview, the bulk of the episode is Yggdrasil betraying Takatora, during this time Mitchi is wearing his Sengoku Driver. So he should meet Katio then. I am assuming the latter bit of the episode his him becoming Zangetsu Shin and causing a fight while Ryoma hunts down Takatora.

This is heartbreaking though. Apparently Kota is so happy that he tells Mai and Mitchi about it... and then boom. End of the episode he'll be devastated. This reminds me of Ryuki-Faiz where something good would finally happen but it wouldn't last long and it would just break me haha.

I was saying that KAITO was wearing the Sengoku Driver as well, though he might just be getting energy from the lockseeds.

I think we're entering the 'unstable and unsettling' period of the Rider series that sort of featured in the early Heisei, where either new concepts are introduced or sudden changes make the usual routines for the characters change drastically.

In Agito we had the introduction of Another Agito, Ryuki we had the Alternatives, Faiz had this period when Takumi realised he was an Orphenoch and Kiba became Faiz instead, Blade had the Trials and the awakening of Joker pretty much messed up everyone's lives for about 5 episodes.

I didn't mind A-Agito, because Agito was setting up the stigma of multiple riders being introduced and not being on the same side, just look at Ryuki, only a handful of decent riders.
Takumi didn't realize he was an orphonoch, he knew but kept it too himself, he was just going through an identity crisis about which part of himself he should embrace, the human, or the monster.

What ever change Gaim is going to introduce soon, I am okay with, I don't think it will effect what a great story it is.

So far the only changes in Gaim are the sides the Riders are on. Since those who were once Kouta's enemies are becoming his friends, while Micchi is now his enemy. The only thing that hasn't change is Ryoma & co.

No. Just introducing new types of characters doesn't change a shows status quo.

And besides, Gaim doesn't really have a statues quo to begin with.

Not really the change from it being a battle between beat riders playing the inves game to emphasis on the battle between yggdrasil and kouta is a major change in the status quo. If they formally introduce the Overlords' King and frame the battle between humans and inves then that would be another change in the status quo.
