Kamen Rider Gaim - Lock 12 "Enter the Next-Gen Riders!"

Yay for plot and character development!

Oh my poor Hase...

Oren has some big arms...

You know they are going to save a bit of money because they don't need to always make a monster of the week suit.

Well that was an awesome episode. The lines are being drawn. Friendships are becoming broken, and will be tested. The 4-on-1 fight was interesting, and ShinZangetsu was so badass.

Well, this episode definitely upped the drama. A lot more slower paced and calm compared to the last few but doesn't make it worse. Loved to see all the characters interactions.

Zangetsu Shin was pretty sweet, loved how at the end Takatora said it's time to end the game and show the real world. It's gonna get serious!

Great episode, very informative and shaping up the second arc nicely. Kouta is a great and willing to take the rest to help others. On the other hand, Micchi seems to heading to a darker path. The interesting part is the reveal that Kaito and Mai's are forgotten childhood friend and Mai was a miko. Maybe that's why she will be chosen by the forest? It seems both Kouta and Kaito will be the key in shaping the Rider War if the gold hair Mai's warnings are true....and the future doesn't look so good.

And once again, Kaito sprouted random nonsense about strength while picking on weaklings like Kurokage. His speeches would have been more powerful if he didn't suffer nonstop losing streaks ever since he first henshin and his real victories were not against mook Inves or through tag teaming.

I feel like so far Baron has yet to confirm his status as the secondary Rider. For the first arc Ryugen takes up that position more so than Baron, and Zangetsu is quickly rising as a rival as well. So far Baron's existence in the show is relatively weak.

If Hase really eats the fruit, I'm hoping he doesn't turn into an Inves, but into something deformed short of it, like Gills, and Yggdrasil captures him, turns him into a beast Rider experiment.

Then again, my fan expectations gone wild again.
Now that would be nice to see another rider like gills.

I think that's the point for now since he's not the main character. Kaito's got a lot of burden, and too little of power to do anything about it.

In my POV, I'd rather see a show about Kaito getting back at Yggdrasil, with Zangetsu as his rival.

Other than the promotion and movie stuff, I don't think Baron is every going to have the status of being Gaim's secondary Rider anymore so than Ryugen. I simply don't think Urobuchi is writing his show like a common Rider show. He has already abandoned many of the past gimmicks we love. The official secondary Rider probably will one be also one of these things he has also thrown to the wayside. Though I still think the mid-season introduction of a sixth main character to the cast might be in the cards, but the trope of a secondary rider here is gone.

Around this time the secondary Rider would make his debut. However it sounds like Kaito is building up to become one. To where he's more willing to work with Kouta, especially after what happens next week.
