They're playing the show with such a straight face that I got over the whole fruit thing pretty quickly.

It's Kaito Kumon. I think it tipped the scales in his favour for me that Team Baron apparently call him by his first name, and that after he bitched out that guy for cheating, they went to a shot of one of the others looking worried/upset. It makes it seem more like Team Baron have some level of friendship (or at least that Baron runs the group fairly) and they're not just a gang of bullies.

I interpreted that scene very differently. When slingshot boy got caught cheating and Kaito made his displeasure known, I took the other guy's reaction more as a "crap, what if he finds out we've been cheating to increase our ranks" look, with him being part of the cheating plan.

Yeah, I think Kaito was more worried about street cred than sense of honour/friendship or anything.

I can't be the only one who is liking Gaim? Yes it is dimmed down in maturity, but I still enjoy it. I found Kouta's "What up I'm a Kamen Rider" scenes to be comical, and I just like it so far, and even the fight scenes are kind of cool. Fruits and the Warring states together are still kinda iffy for me....

It'll be like Ryuki. Starting out pretty comedically and then ending up being one of the most depressing Rider series. :thumbs:

I'm kidding, but after Urobuchi has said the series will get heavier, I can't say I doubt it.

Maybe you've seen some of his other works. He's in every Japanese tv show and anime that has a Type-A unfriendly rival.
