There's a problem with their plan with the Scalar System...

How will they explain to the world what happened to Zawame City?

A whole city gets blown up for goodness sake! How do you explain that?!

There would obviously be a lot of media control involved.

The whole plan sounds really idiotic. However, I think the crux of the plan was hinted by Ryoma: It's Yggdrasil being one of the world's largest conglomerates with ventures into practically everything. I think once disaster strikes, they're gonna do a massive coverup.

It's possible for the power of social networking glanced upon in prior episodes to work in the heroes favour.

Yggdrasil plans to secretly kill off most of the human population... I doubt they're going to care that much about people questioning what happened to Zawame .

In the case where they need use the Scalar System, Yggdrasil could then fully initiate Project Ark.

Oh yeah, the other part of the bad plan. As with every other major conspiracy, eventually more people will be involved with it than are actually fooled by it.

I wonder if Yggdrasil already has a set number of people in mind to give Sengouku Drivers to, and those people are already "in the know," as it were?

You would think that major politicians would get first dibs :redface2:.

I also wonder if Yggdrasil would even bother giving it to anyone outside Japan?

Well they said in the episode that blowing up a city would be too small(!) for an initial move, and made pointed remarks about them being world leaders in the biotech industry. A horrendous epidemic in a major world centre would distract the press' attention away from one little provincial city.

I think they would prefer to give them to folks who know how to use them, and also scientists. It's probably partly why they're keeping it a secret, so the useless 'weaklings' at the top of today's society don't get a chance to save their foppish asses when the plant apocalypse come. Only the strong will survive.

Well, this was an intense episode.

First, Kouta stealing Yoko's Energy Lock Seed was just amazing. It is funny how Mitsuzane tried to keep a lot of secrets from Kouta, but it didn't take long for him to know all all of those secrets through random characters in the show. He is such a shady character, though, he was aware Yggdrasil could end up blowing the city up, so he rushed to Team Gaim's HQ to save his friends. I love how this show portrait the characters as actual human beings and not 2D caricatures. Well, not EVERY character, but some of them.

Kouta's idealism is so annoying some times. I was agreeing with everything Takatora was saying :x

Regardless, this show is amazing.
