Kamen Rider Decade rumor/picture thread

What I have said is that if Toei wants to give W a substantial amount of screentime, that may cut into the time the movie devotes to resolving Decade stuff-- and Decade has a lot of stuff to resolve. Enough to more than fill up a single movie on its own, really.

You've mentioned that not featuring him with a substantial amount of screentime would be squandering an opportunity to promote the series, arguing like that was the main point of the Rider movies. Then, you said that it was just one among many other factors, but didn't change your position, still insisting that Toei probably will give substantial screentime to W.

The Faiz arc easily could've been turned into an issue of Vampire Knight by running a quick find-and-replace on names and terms. It was hugely generic.

Now, Faiz itself was not always a great show, but I never would've accused it of being boring. The Faiz A.R. was by comparison incredibly dull and lifeless.

I've already mentioned that the execution wasn't very good, so, what's your point? I'm not saying it was as good as the Faiz series itself, but the actual content and setting there was even more similar to Faiz's than Kuuga World was to Kuuga's.

If you're arguing these two things are somehow identical and somehow make the characters the same, then you appear not to know the actual meaning of "identical." This is more a case of "comparable."

I'm not saying that they're the same character, I'm saying their character development was much closer to each other's than Godai's and Onodera's.

The Kabuto arc is about how, after someone dies, you should cope by never changing ever again. If you repeat the same routines you did when that person was alive, it's like that person is still with you!

This is a completely stupid sentiment.

There was a single scene that implied this "message", and it was quickly followed by Souji's sister excusing her grandma. I don't see how you took it to mean that. He wasn't even dead anyway.

The Kabuto arc was about someone fighting against the entire world, if necessary, to protect his family.

I appreciated what they were attempting with grandma but, honestly, the Kabuto A.R.'s characters were pretty dull and the cast not especially good. I found nothing memorable about the fights.

Clock Up vs Accel was one of Decade's best fighting scenes. That arc also showed Diend's first defeats. Souji's sister also was a funner character than Hiyori, but I suppose that's not really hard to do.

This is rattling around the back of my head, too. Decade's premise is tailor-made for it. The only possible difficulty would be keeping all the principal actors together and keeping the audience interested.

I'm not yet convinced Decade has the kind of staying power a movie series would demand, personally, but it's certainly not something I'd consider a remote possibility.

I don't know if the "name" Decade will continue. I don't think Decade's cast or characters have much to do with its success. The idea of making more crossovers, however, seems pretty lucrative. Just look at All Riders, which only featured brief cameos of Kotaro's an Shoichi's actors, but seems to have had a positive reception, in spite of every past Rider getting featured only as suits.

Alright so I watched the Decade Finale RAW, and I'm going to put down what I'm pretty sure was said and what I got from it as well. MAJOR SPOILERS, DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED WITH THE FINALE, OR WITH BOTH MOVIES.

[HIDE]So, basically we get the brawl with Super Apollo Geist and the big bads from each main Rider world visited (minus Gyuki and the big bad in Kuuga world for some reason, and Ryuki had no big bad). The combined forces of Decade, Diend, AU Kuuga, AU Kiva, and AU Hibiki destroy the big bads with probably one of the lamest sets of Rider Kicks I've ever seen. Within those Rider Kicks, Diend's legs shoot out cyan flames, AU Kuuga's shoot out flames, AU Kiva doesn't do Wake Up so it's a normal kick as is AU Hibiki. Decade Complete actually apparently uses a card because we hear "FINAL ATTACK RIDE: D-D-D-Decade!" but it doesn't look anywhere near as epic as it should, nor as epic as it does in the Climax Heroes video game. Super Apollo Geist uses Super Geist Cutter aka Captain America ripoff move towards Decade Complete, but AU Kuuga gets in the way, getting knocked unconscious and out of his transformation. Decade Complete uses FINAL ATTACK RIDE: DIEND that Diend just randomly tossed to him (by the way, it wasn't the Final Attack Ride card shown, it was Diend's henshin card, once again showing that Toei has no attention to detail) for them to do the finisher together on Apollo Geist, which is what makes all the cards on Decade's chest switch over to Diend. They blows up Apollo Geist. Everyone's happy yay! Except Natsumi realizes that they are in the very same spot and she is in the very same dress that was in her dream from the ep 1 intro. OH SHI-! AU Kiva and AU Hibiki disappear like AU Blade did! OH SHI- again! Then, suddenly, Tsukasa turns around and he's back where he was in ep 1 when he was speaking with Kurenai Wataru, and there is the half Fangire himself. He proceeds to tell Tsukasa that he failed in saving the world, or that he is the real threat or something. I specifically hear him say something about being the Kamen Rider who destroys everything ("Anata subete Kamen Rider hakaisha something something"). And then I think he says something about him and his comrades now having to deal with Tsukasa. He transforms (with no animation of Kivat :( ), and we even get to hear the cry of Kiva Flight Mode with the delayed eye-shine. He charges at Tsukasa, and then suddenly Tsukasa is back in the world of the Rider War, surrounded by what can be assumed to be all the ORIGINAL Riders, sans Kuuga. Kenzaki Kazuma arrives with a simple and casual "Decade-o, omae wa taosu..." which in English of course means "Decade, you will die..." followed by "Henshin..." again very casual into King Form. Tsukasa Henshins. Natsumi is like "Oh noes... WAIT, YUUSUKE IS STILL HERE AND NOT MOVING!" and proceeds to run to Yuusuke. Kivala shows up, is all like "Bitch, move," GABU-bites Yuusuke, you actually see the Active Force go into him from the bite. She announces the arrival of Ultimate Kuuga. Yuusuke then shoves Natsumi out of the way, stands up, looks all crazy like, and transforms into Black-Eyed Ultimate Kuuga, while Kivala cackles like a witch. Narutaki fangasms over all the Kamen Riders arriving to finally kill Decade. RIDER CHARGE! Diend arrives! Is Decade getting help? "Tsukasa..." "Kaito?!" BLAM! NO! DIEND SHOOTS HIM POINT BLANK IN THE FACE! Natsumi then shouts out "DECADE-O!" and end episode. Fucking cliff hanger. Also, why would Natsumi shout out "Decade" and not "Tsukasa"? This is from what I can recall the first and only time she does this. Then we get the movie teasers.

In the teasers, you clearly hear Natsumi say "I will kill/defeat Decade!" as she hoists up the shot gun. What?! Then Kamen Rider Kivala arrives, announces herself as Kivala in Kivala's voice (wtf?) and bitch-slaps Decade Complete. We then see a black-haired, black-clothed Tsukasa punch a lighter-haired Tsukasa wearing what looks like Doctor Who clothes, then become Decade Complete to beat up Doctor-Tsukasa some more. We also see Kuuga casually **** up Diend. Then, a mysterious person in white with floofed back hair appears. End teasers.

I have to say, the finale was insane, but could've been handled much better. From the teasers, I like what I see, except Kivala. I'm sick of seeing secondary Kiva riders WITH THE SAME DAMN COLOR SCHEME. IXA, Rey, and Saga all had the white-and-blue color scheme. COME UP WITH SOMETHING NEW TOEI! I would've loved to have seen something similar to this pic

Also, Kivala is too small to be on a belt. She should be like a Henshin Brace instead.

What I get from this episode, with Narutaki always saying that Decade is in fact destroying worlds, and Wataru telling him he failed... is that Decade really was supposed to destroy the worlds he visited. I think they were some kind of false worlds that were interfering with and destroying the true Rider Worlds, and by helping them exist, Tsukasa did in fact screw things up and allowed Dai-Shocker to screw things up even more. We already get that from the symbols and from the movie, that Tsukasa came from the world of Dai-Shocker, and in fact worked for them and that Decade was made by Dai-Shocker. So Decade screwed up, and now truly the only way left to fix things is to kill him. Woops. So we'll find out how things end in December then.

Also, this episode I believe proves that the movie is officially an alternate ending. God dammit.[/HIDE]

I think it wasn't Decade that DiEnd shot...

When I thought a lil bit about Decade ends something came to my mind with the movie thing.
First I thought you could make this whole movie into episode and give the series a normal finale BUT it´s the movie that makes me wonder, cause its Decade X Double. Not just Decade...it´s cause of Double. so I wonder.
Could it be that Double will also be a short season like Decade and they both share kind of the same final episode that would be the Crossover movie.

So Double would in order of my theory build up the final Decade X Double movie and that would round up the whole 10th anniversary Rider special that Double is also part of.

Why are so many people so driven to believe that Double will be a Short season? Decade got early confirmation before airing that it was going to be short, Double on the other hand hasn't had such claims.

Double will be a full series, Decade was only short because of it being an anniversary and most likely the massive budget behind it.

Pfft, I call bullshit. Couldnt they have just used the budget for Double to do the rest of Decade?

It is possible that they ran out of ideas for Decade, personally if i'd written Decade i would have just been based in one world had Dai shocker from the begging as the main villans, and would have had Decade meeting the riders along the way lol :P

Each show is allotted a certain amount of episodes and money before it even begins production, with Decade being an anniversary as well as having a large guest star "lineup" etc it was shortened.

As the poster above me said the way it was written also it would have been quite hard to carry it out for a full 48-50 episodes.

Double will not be a short series and will carry 48 or so episodes just like every one before Decade.

3 eps per World, doesnt sound too hard to me. I still say that they couldve just used the Double budget for Decade.

And I'll start believing that Double will have a full run if I see a Double Movie in the Spring.
Not trying to argue with ya or anything, but I have yet to see any significant evidence that Double will run year long.
......unless I missed it...

I don't think so. Both Den-O crossover movies marginalized the current series and had a purely Den-O centric plot, which could have worked perfectly well without the guest (Kiva/Decade).

I've actually heard that the Decade cast isn't totally lumped into a guest appearance in the Chou Den-O movie.
