Quite True, though the Grongi was really the last time we had an organized, single villain. Since then it's just been disjointed monsters just showing up out of the blue. They don't seem to have much in the way of actual intelligence generally. They don't really answer to anyone. We haven't had a real sense of the villain story going anywhere.

What about God in Agito? Well, he wasn't really bad but he was still killing people which is wrong, with or without supernatural abilities. The Lords (especially the El classes) weren't just killing people for shits and giggles, it was their duty to kill inhuman "threats" to their God.

2) 2) the lords were nebulously defined, at best. While I do love Agito as a series, the villain story was not put together well in the slightest

-Black God/Overlord/Whatever you like to call him was in a constant struggle with his brother.

-Good God blesses humans (Overlords creations) with Agito to escape his control and evolve to their greatest potential.

-Overlord says "**** that" and starts wiping out the Agito infused humans with the Lords, Linto warriors, whom were born from Overlord's body

-When Shouichi/Tetsuya regains his Agito seed as a mere human, Overlord realizes that humans are a "threat" with or without Agito in them and starts his genocide that ends in failure.

And he was described by Kino as a being of pure energy. It's an understatement to merely call him a "linto".

I'm a little confused on this point myself because to my memory, "linto" was a term in Kuuga refering to ancient humans. Not really something in reference to gods or beings of power like the man in black or the man in white from Agito.
