It seems like the one-liners/pop culture in-jokes could be sort of funny, as long as Cap isn't the one making them. His "fish out of water learning to be normal" characters tend to be the ones that amuse me most.

I can see a few running jokes where some of the other character would make a pop culture joke and Captain wouldnt get it. Stuff like that...

The 40's serial, the short-lived 70's tv show, the 90's Cap movie where the Red Skull is Italian.

They can screw it up.

I said it was hard, they just make it look easy and notice none of those had Cap punching Nazis either. I am sorry but beating up Nazis is always fun to watch but when one of the most iconic image for the character is knocking Hilter's teeth out you need to put that in the movie.
