JDF Talks About Austin St. John on No Pink Spandex

Ugh, I really hate these sort of things, when you find out one or more of your childhood heroes is an asshole, it feels like a biece of you dies...

Honestly, whether or not the allegations JDF made are true or not is irrelevant to whether or not he's being hypocritical in this interview. And oh, MAN, how he is.

How is it irrelevant? I listened to the entire interview. It just sounded like he was frustrated by all the nonsense. You guys are really making something out of nothing.

Nah man... only thing we found out in this interview is our heroes are people.. just like any other.

Which still sucks, but.... they're just.. people like any other.

So did I, unfortunately. It's irrelevant because even if the allegations are true, he still comes off as an ass.

Not really buying this. The reasons for someone's words and actions are completely relevant. You can't just choose to ignore them and then go "Gosh, that guy is an asshole!"

JDF makes it clear that he would like to find out Austin's side of things, lay everything out on the table and put it all behind them. As it is, it sounds like Austin St. John won't even contact him. JDF is just frustrated by all of the bullshit so his words just came out in an aggressive manner.

All that aside he still behaved HIGHLY unprofessionally. Whether he's frustrated or not, this is an interview to fans and is a public thing. It's unprofessional and makes him sound petty.

Not really. Alot of the outrage isn't centered around whether or not what he said is true. It's centered around how JDF decides to conduct himself in public during panels and interviews. Got news for you. Every single Ranger could come out and dig up some dirt on all the other actors, try and bad mouth others and spark drama. But they don't. Jason does. Because he's wants attention. There's your relevant reason.

He wanted to make a spectacle out of a rivalry 17 years ago by challenging him to a fight. Austin is a paramedic. Jason has spent years training for MMA. We know Jason would win. We all do. This isn't about giving the fans 'what they wanna see'. It's about Jason once and for all going 'hey look everyone, I beat Austin. I win.' Childish.
