Lip kissing is overrated. (Really, who knows where your mouth has been? Why would I want to touch my lips and tongue to yours?) I don't like when people have their mouths all over each other during kissing scenes as though they're trying to swallow each other's head whole. A kiss on the head or cheek looks nicer anyway.

Japanese people kissing look awkward. I will be fairly honest, I'm Japanese, and maybe it's because I'm so white-washed, but man, does it look awkward.

Seriously though, it's culture. It's not only Japan, east Asian countries tend to see kissing as something more intimate. Hell, saying "I love you" isn't that common either. It's thrown left and right here in Sweden.

Although influence from western media is slowly changing things.

My relatives would send me videos of Kuuga and GoGo V when I was young back in Texas. That's when I really fell in love with it. I stopped watching toku after Hibiki because I couldn't get my hands on any, but after I went back to Japan the following year, I saw Kabuto and Boukenger. Thought it was cool then.

Then I randomly typed in Kuuga on youtube (before they purged everything from Toei) and from their I entered the fandom. So yeah, you could say its a way to reconnect.
