James Bond Theory

But what about M? she appeared in Brosan's Bond Movies. Or they could all be clones!?

I think the Dench-M of Casino Royale is obviously a different Dench-M than in the Brosnan movies. Completely different attitude, which suggests to me that it's just Dench playing a different character. Doesn't make much sense, but it didn't make sense for that movie to just wipe its ass with 40+ years of history in order to ape something that was its imitator to begin with. :shakefist

all I know is Igadevil suddenly has a Kilokhan avatar!

It's not Kilokhan! It's Khandigipher (or whatever his name is)! :shakefist

:sly: The novels came after the novels?

Seems to be a mix-up. I was referring to my earlier post about the Bourne movies. I was blaming Casino Royale (the movie) for trashing 40+ years of Bond cinema in order to make it more like the Bourne movies, which wouldn't really even exist without Bond.

You know, I could accept that theory, just because it meant that the whiny punk in Casino Royale wasn't meant to eventually become the man played by Connery and Brosnan.

Just my opinion... Best Bonds from greatest to lousiest:

Connery
Craig
Lazenby
Dalton
Moore
Brosnan

*knows I'm gonna get flamed*

I happen to love Casino Royale (although my Dad hated it heh heh). Not that far off from the novel, actually. Maybe Casino Royale seemed too much like the Bourne movies, yet in spirit, I'd have to say that Craig's Bond (like Dalton's Bond), reminded me a lot of the original Bond as characterized in Ian Fleming's Novels.

BUT - Connery is the perfect balance between the human, bleeding bond of the novels and the superhero expected in movies.

A lot of people loved Casino Royale, and the "it's like the books" rationale is what I hear most of the time. *shrug* I thought it was a bad movie, but I'm in the minority.

Yes, yes you are.

And to the Time-Lord theory:

He's not a Time Lord, he's...an IMMORTAL. :O_O:  :P
