Jackie Chan's Hollywood comeback?

I don't think he's even the reason it'll fail. It might just be how they treat Jackie's character. If they go really serious and somber, it could work.

He's made that clear in the past. He's even admitted to using the money from American films he had little interest in, and using it to produce his own films in China. Smart man.

By the way, I think he may have somethin in The Kung Fu Kid. He might be a little more somber, more serious in that one. It could be a slightly new direction for him, in the U.S. He's used to goofball roles.

I don't really mind this. The kids and parents generally dig his American stuff, and it keeps him in people's minds. All of the Chinese and Japanese films he does get released over here on DVD, at some point. So it all works out in the end.

I will admit it, would be nice to see him do something as good as his Rush Hour or Shanghai movies, though. I think the real task with that sort of thing, is finding a comedian who's willing to do heavy action.

As much as I hate saying it, it's obvious that he was kind of a fad actor. Because his interest in the mainstream has really dropped in recent years. After Around the World in 80s, it seems unless it's Rush Hour, he doesn't get handed big-budget productions anymore. Forbidden Kingdom was kind of a B-Movie in Hollywood, so that wouldn't count. Plus, he didn't star in that.

Kung Fu Kid is the closest thing he's got to a hyped film anytime soon.

DRUNKEN MASTER was a truly amaizing film, it is a master piece in kung fu movies, Jackie Chan's role was great

THE LENGEND OF THE DRUNKEN MASTER was a great sequel

now after years of good and so so movies. Jackie Chan has fallen into the worst kind of movies

THE PACIFIER 2 starting Jackie Chan, Hannah Montana's Dad and a poor Hispanic comidian that sucks equally to Carlos Mencia (why can't hispanic people have a decent comedian)

and now they are making a chinese copy of the Karate Kid, Kung Fu Kid...

why the hell are they using a 13 year old kid...can't at least they use an 18 year old dude? what the **** happen to Jacke Chan, from Hero to Zero.

That could work. But even Shia LaBeouf is startin to look a little too old to play a teenager. He is really youthful looking, but that's a stretch.
