Out of curiosity, is my imagination running wild again or am I actually on to something? Granted, yes, the scar on Clark is a kryptonian symbol but there IS a resemblance to the scar on Superman Prime's chest.

Well Superboy Prime comes from a universe where Superman and the DC gang are just comic book characters. So no Smallville Clark is not Superboy Prime. But from what it looks like with Season 8 and 9 it really shows they are trying to make Clark in Smallville to resemble Prime. Especially with the Supes costume Smallville Clark will get.

I don't think even Smallville is that stupid.

Though with Geoff John's doing some writing for them maybe see he'll be pitching an appearence by Pantha just so Clark punch her head off to hit his requisite gore quota per story.

God I wish they would have left Superboy Prime alone. He was fine at the end of the original Crisis and now John's has turned him into this swirling ridiculous clusterfuck of grimdark excess and stupidity.

That's not even to say that Johns is all bad because I kinda dug his Legion ep. It's just like there's two of him. One is a guy who can be pretty cool when he's just showing off his love for DC and then there's the other guy who wants to dress gorror flicks up in Silver Age DC clothes.

personally I think that the last season probably was their best one yet, the show was on a serious crap roll ever since they introduced that entire clark/lana/lex triangle as well as Clark's overall stalker like obsession
