Is RPM Worth a Go?

Although, especially in the first half, they were so afraid of using monster or zord footage we were stuck with an extended Grinder fight every. Single. Episode. That started to irk me.

You speak like they tuned down the extended Grinder fights... they didn't. They ALWAYS waste a good five minutes with a very boring and drawn out Grinder fight that any other Ranger serie would have ended by now. Not to mention the Sentai fights...

Plus they barely used their weapons at all! Spare me the talk of conserving energy... weapons makes fight go faster and way more dynamic that Ziggy getting stuck in a car door for the fourth time!

Well said. And as I respect Undrave's opinion, I disagree with him as well.

My name ends with an 'e' not an 'a'.

And I respect your right to disagree with me. I am well aware I'm in the minority in my liking of Go-onger. Its even smaller than the minority that likes Den-o!

Meh I don't have to justify my likes and dislikes, beside its not a popular position around here

Yes. Yes you do. Otherwise you just come off as someone liking something because it's the opposite of a popular consensus. Reason provokes understanding.

*SIGH* Everybody's got a hardon for RPM.

Because it's good.

Go-onger started with a formula you might not have liked but they exploited the heck out of it and didn't hold anything back for fear of being silly and stuff.

"Silly" is why Go-Onger fails. It's static, safe, and predictable. No life in it at all.

Its fights were way too dull and repetitive, no energy at all!

Where as Go-Onger has no reason to make the audience give a **** about their fight scenes

Meh, YOU'RE predictable! :loltongue:

I'm not affraid to like a silly show with youthful enthusiasm, a show that isn't affraid of being a kid show and doesn't pander to the silly notion that a good show has to be hopeless and grimdark all the time. A show that gave us the Engines and Engine-oh G12.

I liked the Go-ongers because they faced adversity with fire in their heart and never gave up. the fought for GREAT JUSTICE no matter the odds!

And this is new for Sentai (and Power Rangers for that matter) because....?

Its not, but its something you sometimes have to remind people of between the stoic Kabuto, the silent Wataru, the sullen Takeru or angsty Dillon that toku heroes used to have a firey passion for JUSTICE.

And its not a bad thing if they got enthusiasm and don't contemplate the deep problems of life all the time :loltongue:

Know what I mean?
