Is Lost Galaxy Popular?

That's easy................ it's fiction. You can make up anything you want and it will be real.

We could say that although he lost the Magna Defender powers, he was still infused with enough energy to allow him to survive in space.

We could also say that the PR Universe is a completely different universe were there's either air in space or humans don't necessarily need atmosphere to survive.

Theta Particles release from the Lost Galaxy Rift have created atmosphere in space in that section of the galaxy.

Anything would work.

I loved Lost Galaxy, both when it aired and now. It wasn't perfect, but definitely one of my favorite PR seasons. Karone returning as a Ranger, Trakeena actually having a valid reason to want the Rangers dead, Magna Defender left broken over losing his son.... there was so much great stuff that year.

No one died in Lost Galaxy. When the person in question comes back in the end that is a complete cop out. A ranger dying would be in Time Ranger with Time Fire. That was a true ranger death. That said, being not such a big PR fan, Lost galaxy was the one PR series I really enjoyed watching.
That was the only major thing I disliked about PRLG. They did the whole "death" scene in "Power of Pink", then didn't have the guts to follow through with it. :shakefist The scene of Kendrix "dying" was so beautifully written and performed; one of PR's all-time best, in my opinion. They had something epic there, but reviving Kendrix so they could do some happy fairy tale ending ruined it for me.

Any idea why they decided to replace her? Did they mean for it to happen? Or did something come up for the actress and she had to leave?

I still stand that the series isn't that popular among fans. Yes, people may like it, but it is still hardly ever discussed, and is mostly made fun of for the severe lack of quality designs. We all, mostly, like Power Rangers so we all have a soft spot in our heart for each season...mostly. But, when a series is only really talked about to try and formulate some level of popularity, it proves it's inherent lack of popularity.

The series had the unfortunate luck of following PRiS, which is widely regarded as the best season. And while trying to stay semi-connected to the Zordon-Era episodes, it used old PRiS references in a completely undermining way. The Megaship, Alpha and D.E.C.A were never used properly and were only there to seemingly remind us that they still existed in the first place.

- Horrid Charlie Brown suits.
- Uninspired zord designs that came from "animals" that looked like they needed to be put down.
- Random change to a new villain sect just to milk the Sentai footage.
- Cop-Out "Death"

There was very few redeeming qualities to Lost Galaxy, save for the teamup with the Space Rangers.

Agreed.

Plus you gotta love the fact that Maya wore that jungle outfit AND we got Karone back.

No we don't.

The Galactabeasts are regarded as ugly.

Torozord and Lion really aren't that bad. And the only thing really going against Wolf and Wildcat is that they're played by stuntmen on their hands and knees many a time. I'd actually say that it's the Galactazords that were ugly more than the Galactabeasts.

Sure, the Galactabeasts aren't among Sentai/PR's masterpieces. But they've done a lot worse. The Engines come readily to mind...

Lost Galaxy is one of my favorite seasons. I really enjoyed the whole Tera Venture aspect of the show. I liked how they used the costumes from Starship troopers in the first episode. It has one of the best openings in my mind. I think it was the only season that killed a ranger. It had a new cast of rangers but it still tied in with the old series by having Alpha and the Astromegaship. I find Saban should have not gotten rid of Alpha and for LR they should of had Alpha leading another team of rangers in the underwater base. I really find one of the things that is missing in the modern day PR seasons is Alpha.

Just when I thought Space could not be topped we got LG. Even tho I still like Space better I didnt even imagine it would be as good as it was.

And whoever said that Lost Galaxy is the bastard child of Power Rangers, its not that is Lightspeed Rescue. (which is not even that bad compared to some of the newer Disney seasons)

And for the record im getting tired of RB bashing. We get it, you dont like RB that is why there is plenty of alternatives like HJU! In my opinion I like HJU and RB and they are my 2 favorite boards.

So your blaming Lost Galaxy for what Toei did with Gingaman?

The only stand out arc, IMO was the Lost Galaxy arc.

The majority of the rest of it was ripped straight from Gingaman, with all the meaning left behind.
