I watched the first episode. Very, very interesting and completely different. Nothing like Ultraman at all.

Yeah it's nothing like Ultraman. The only similarity to Ultraman is the fact that Iron King is a Giant Hero.

You'll see some familiar faces throughout the series. You should read the booklet that came with the set, near the end of the booklet shows all of the guest appearances.

The dude, Shoji Ishibashi, looks very familiar... I felt like I've seen him before. Was that guy in The Return of Ultraman as the bad guy who held a girl in the tall building?

Yep, that's him -- Ishibashi guest starred in Episodes 16 & 17 of THE RETURN OF ULTRAMAN (1971-72) -- good memory! :buttrock:

To be honest, I have no idea who were they because I've not seen the 60-70s Ultra series (Execpt for original Ultraman and first half of The Return of Ultraman, I've seen this one) and other Giant heroes.

Ishibashi is only the one who looks familiar for me. I've not seen episode 5 yet.
