And that attempt to revive the franchise is gonna fail. It's going to air for like a few weeks, get low ratings and just be canceled.

I'm giving it a shot. People fear change, but learn to let go of the original versions, you miss out otherwise on the revivals they get right

Well they're going for a more angular look it seems. Wether you call that 'anime style' is up to you.

Frankly at this point 'anime style' is more of a marketing buzzword (like 'darker and edgier!') than anything else.

I was thinking more along the lines of Martin Mystery and Totally Spies myself.

Ugh.... Inspector Gadget stopped being cool when he came out.

I remember the commercials just before he came out and he was the the coolest fracking thing. Then the show came out and IG was nothing but a continual bumbling retard that had all these incredible gadgets, but never did anything while Penny and Brain did all the work and saved the day.

Oh god I remember those days. The show got my attention and couldn't stop watching, but I cringed at the stupidity of IG. I watched those eps and wondered, "What the heck, I thought he was smarter than that!" Especially that one ep I think he was helping out Dr Claw and had no fcking idea he was helping his enemy! I know he hasn't seen his whole body beforehand, but in a dark castle (from what I can remember) with a freaky looking background? Can't get more obvious than that lol

The show was Get Smart and Pink Panther for kids. That was it's hook

Not to mention that the actor who did Agent 86 on "Get Smart" was also the voice of Inspector Gadget.

Honestly, IG is so old. The original series when I was little was so good.. I loved it, LOL.. but the two movies were horriable. Well, the first one was. The second I have yet to see, and clearly wouldn't want to after the first one.

The only good thing about IG getting back in the headlines is if this could lead to full season sets of the original series. I would buy them, and only them.

The original season was already better than the stupid 'Capeman' season from afterward >.< I hope those original eps get released on DVD. Back when Gadget lived in a normal house.

Never was a fan of Inspector Gadget, but I admit that I did like the cartoon show until IG's stupidity got the best of me. They really shouldn't do another movie, the previous one was bad enough.

I never was a real fan of the show. I remember watching it when it was on Nickelodeon I think for alittle while then I just stopped caring.
