Imagi's Gatchaman?

If Gatchaman ever finally got rolling I'd want their hero costumes to be true the originals. Having them be jeans would be some Smallville cop-out type ****.

Besides their original costumes are f'n cool. I also kinda liked the designs from the 90's OAV but not as much.

I tink we both had a slight miscommunication rout here. I was talking about meant Astroboy not Gatchaman. For Gatchman I say modernize the suits and give them the Star Trek 2009 look of sleekness and slight uniformity while variations such as helmet and color would be apparent.

The trailer looks awesome, apparently I read that Imagi is not entirely dead yet though as I thought they were. Apparently the HK studio is still there on "life support" waiting for an investor. Sure the chances are small but apparently there is still a small chance the movie could be made, it may not be much but its better than the movie being outright cancelled as I originally thought after the announcement of Imagi shutting down.

Anyways, TMNT was awesome, it had plenty of flaws but it was still a good movie and the CG second only to Pixar.

Astro-Boy I was not looking forward to, after TMNT failed to be the success all the partners thought it'd be (it still made plenty of money though). Imagi started firing the directors of all their upcoming movies which was a bad sign for the company. Astro was made VERY western friendly in design, I hated it. I finally saw the movie on dvd though and man I was impressed. Yeah they totally westernized Astro, however it still felt like Astro so it was all good. The movie was very good and much better than the average Dreamworks CG movie for kids. Too bad it bombed so hard that it basically killed Imagi.

Anyways I still hope we get to see the Gatchaman movie and was also looking forward to the Gigantor movie they announced. Imagi made two great movies, its a shame to see the company die. Though it really was them to blame, I mean Astro-Boy? It doesn't really appeal to kids nowaday and Sony learned this the hardway after it lost a bunch of money on the 2k2 Astro anime which bombed as hard as the movie did. Gatchaman is another movie I'm not sure kids would flock over to and neither is Gigantor, why were they wasting their money on those old licenses? Not that I mind, I thought it was great but just didn't make sense as an investment.

I have no idea what this about...I just know that this teaser trailer for the upcoming film was awesome! Please, can somebody fill me in on this? I've never heard of it before:

Looks a little too cheap to be Imagi's Gatchaman, and the suit designs look slightly different from the one Imagi mocked up. Not to mention the model animations look really stiff. My bet is that the trailer is fan made and separate from the Imagi project.

That or someone uploaded a really early sizzle real mock up, since the source looks very questionable.
