I don't care too much for old cast members coming back for a one shot. It would feel too much like them trying to do another Forever Red, but not on such a grand scale. I had this idea for at least showing some of the old costumes:
It could involve the Questers and the Anti-Parallel engines if they wanted to adapt that storyline. When they're introduced and their suits malfunction, have an episode where they have to reactivate old powers that they've collected throughout the season at that point in order to gather the equipment or materials to create the Neo Parallel engines for the Silver powers and vehicles. You could have:
1. An old Power Coin
2. A Zeo Crystal fragment since we never saw what happened to them
3. We know at least the red and blue Turbo powers are still active because of Red Lightning and Storm Blaster
4. We know the Space powers are still active
5. And Timeforce since it was the basis for SPD on Earth.
6. The Quasar Sabers would require going into space, so they could be left out
7. I'm guessing Lightspeed's were still active at the end of that season
8. Wildforce is tied to the Animarium, so leave those alone
9. Ninja Storms were taken away by Lothor
10. The Dino Gems were drained of power and were only recreated by futuristic SPD tech, so leave them alone also.
11. SPD is in the future
12. Mystic powers fate is unknown at this point.
So out of those you have at least five active or potentially powers that could be used as an excuse to show the old suits again, but with the Overdrive actors in them. That alone would make me happy.
