I don't think Jonah Hex doing so well...

Didn't they give Hex some weird supernatural powers in the movie? I mean if didn't want to do a gritty Western story yet still wanted use Hex just adapt the series where he fights in the future.

It's all because of Megan Fox. :sly:

Answer me the question...

Why did they have to cast her for the role in Jonah Hex? I'm SO sick of people just come in the theater to see her hotness, just her looks. That girl simply can't act that well!

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE HER?!?! :sly:

Any move with a no talented hack going to fail. She need to be adult movies (Softcore) instead of real acting...

Yeah they think a straight up western wouldn't do well so they added some magic and well that sucked too.

I've repeatedly heard people compare it to "Wild Wild West."

If you mean Will Smith's Wild Wild West, then there is a chance I will probably like this movie. I fit in with the small crowd that liked that movie. Something about traditional Westerns I just cannot get into. :sly:

Scarlett was in it..DAMN. She's looking SO hot in that catsuit!
I.. who.. what?

It has zero story. It's about explosions and other stupid crap. It has no character growth at all. Not surprising considering the running time WITH credits is just about 80mins. The movie is crap because it's crap.
I dunno, if someone hates on a movie you like for the reasons you're stating here, don't you usually call it a fun popcorn flick where you're not supposed to think?

The movie was dumb fun, and I might have been ok with it, but for one simple fact: HEX DESERVES BETTER. The comic is one of the best books out there right now. It's violent, dark, gritty, and almost NO supernatural stuff. When supernatural stuff does happen, it's not Hex that has powers.

This movie kind of reminded me of the Constantine movie. OK if you don't know the source material, but a disappointment if you follow the comic characters. At least they kept the visual gag of Hex drinking whiskey and having it leak out through his scar.

also, horse-mounted gatling guns? WTF? The most frustrating thing is, there are hints of the comic Hex here and there. The mean streak of the bad guy in what he does to Hex, Brolin's portrayal of the scarred gunslinger. It makes it worse because it's not a complete clusterf*ck. This COUlD HAVE BEEN a great comic film. It could have brought a new generation into appreciating westerns, just like the comic did. *sigh*
